From 12/1018 - 3/2019, I waited on the replacement product/hair. During that time, I was told the hair would be mailed to me and never received. $440
From December all the way into March I waited on the replacement hair. During that time, I was never told that you all required the matted hair back. In March, when the representative obtained my address and I was told the hair would be shipped to me, I was never made aware that VHD wanted me to come into the store or return the matted hair. The replacement hair was never shipped and after numerous attempts to reach VHD, I'm being told, for the very first time, you want the matted hair back to fulfill your promise to replace the hair.

Over the 4 months of waiting on replacement hair, the hair was discarded for sanitary purposes. If VHD wanted me to return the hair to the store and/or keep the hair or exchange it, VHD should of communicated that to me. The value of the discarded hair is $0.

On the other hand, I've incurred losses as far as the $500 I spent on the hair and the loss of the $250 instill, take down fees because (as previously mentioned) I had to take down the following week after the install and I have receipts to prove all of the above.

Desired Outcome

Refund or replacement.

I originally purchased a curly full lace unit from VHD on 9/14/18, about 3 weeks after purchase, I began to get bald patches in the unit. I contacted the company in person to show the product and was offered a 50% off discount for another wig. I accepted the offer and purchased a new unit, same type of hair on 11/6/18. The unit was good until the hairline began shedding all of its hair, along with a little more than normal shedding throughout the unit. I went online to watch videos posted on the company's official YouTube on products the company recommends to use for treatment of the unit. I purchased the products and the hair progressively got worst. After the new year, I began recording videos and sending them to the company for a possible resolution to the issues I've now had with 2 wig units in last than 3 months. Per an email from the company, the company would forward my complaints to the distributor for consideration. After 5 days of no further correspondence, I went to the store in person where a supposed manager acknowledged the extreme thinning in the unit and proceeded to say there was nothing that could be done cause it was past there 15-day guarantee policy, a policy that was not adhered too with the same issue 2 months earlier. Furthermore, I was told in an email that the units are 'natural products that can last from 3-6 months'. I've had 2 units in a span of 4 months, clearly not 3-6 months. I have spent well over $600 on 2 units, the first was on sale, the second was 50% off due to product issues. The company is blatantly false advertising the true nature of the hair being '100% virgin hair'. I am a licensed cosmetologist of 7 years and I believe synthetic fibers are in this hair, cause the matting of the hair and knotted strands that snap easily and cap construction is poorly made. I wouldn't recommend purchasing from this company, at least not the curly units. I also would like my money back due to this issue.

Desired Outcome

Refund I have spent over $600 on 2 units in less than 4 months. The company guarantees the units last 3-6 months, both my units barely made it 2 months before excessive shedding, balding, matting hair and poor cap construction play factors in my request for refund, or legal action.

Virgin Hair Depot Response • Feb 11, 2019

It is unfortunate clients use this system to abuse and misrepresent circumstances and we have to take time to address these. The client did come in (almost 3 months after original purchase not 3 weeks) stating issues with unit. We offered 50% off new purchase just as a way to make the client happy. He brought in the unit and it was examined then and we found nothing wrong with it. So we made a decision outside of our policy to accommodate him anyway. This is where we made a mistake. Because that was in October. Towards the end of Jan, beginning of Feb .....(when it was time for a new do).............he tried this again. This time we would not oblige because we understood what was happening.

The Facts are this: When you bleach your units, they can shed more. This is a client issue based on their choice.

Also, if hair is going to have an issue like matting or tangling, you will know within a week. Not 3 months later.

VHD stands behind our products and in many times, still makes exceptions to accommodate our clients for happiness outside of our policies.

We will not be giving a discount or free hair like this client wants in this case.

VHD has a 15 Day Guarantee on all our hair products, most companies do not. We do not false advertise, and we only sale human hair.

Customer Response • Feb 12, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Unfortunately, VHD IS LYING! I never bleached the hair and the videos I emailed them confirms that. I made calls about the unit after the new year with not 1 call being returned, started recording videos to back up my claims. I didn't have to abuse the system when I never asked for anythingZ the first wig purchased on September 9th, 2018 was shedding and balding by mid October. I went in to show them, mind you I had a coupon for 50% of and I'm a licensed cosmetologist, I buy hair from companies all over. I even recommended them to my clients, so for the false claim that I'm trying to get free hair is preposterous. In my repeated attempts to get the situation rectified, I never asked for hair, even in my original complaint to Revdex.com, I still never asked for hair. I would never buy from them. I asked for my money back due to the hair not lasting as advertised or promoted, in other words, I'm accusing VHD of false advertising. I stand by my claims, they have my Instagram, I have worn hair from multiple companies for 4-8 months, never have I had this issue with 2 units in a 4 month span. I also have not been into the store nor contacted VHD since I filed this report, that is also a false allegation. Sadly for them I have taken my business elsewhere and have a new unit on my head! But I'm an email with VHD, the company certifies hair last for 3-6 months. I bought a unit in Sept. that began to bald and shed by mid October. I went in to the store, let them examine, they apologized profusely and offered to sell me a new wig at half off, I accepted and returned a week later to buy the unit. In my search history I looked up videos by this company on what products to use for there hair. I purchased those products along with the new unit on Nov. 6, 2018. I never once maid a complaint and even wrote a good review on Google, so again, how am I abusing a system when I praised the company. In a span of 2 months, I have bought 2 units, mind you 1 unit last 3-6 months according to an email from the company. By end of Dec. I began to experience extreme matting and clonks of hair coming out in knots. I contacted the company leaving a message, no one returned my calls. I sent an email in mid Jan showing pics and videos I had recorded to show them exactly what I was experiencing. I went to the store around Jan. 25th to make my 3rd complaint in person after I was told via email that my issue would be forwarded to the distributor. At that time I told them the same things I said on video which they have that I didn't want to buy hair from them again. I also stated I would not take this public and blast the company on social media or give them bad reviews on google or YouTube. I just requested my money because the advertised life span of the hair 3-6 months had not been successful and I was wearing my second unit in a span of 4 months. It's sad that this company is calling a hard working patron who has never spoke ill of them to anyone an opportunist. I ask that the company do what's right. Stop false advertising. Trust ladies, I don't care about the money cause I could've have taken legal action, but what I care about is honesty amongst business that take paying customers money.

I placed a order to purchase hair since August of 2017. A month or so later they emailed me saying they had a computer glitch and cant fulfill the order. They asked if I want to place a new order or get a refund. I asked for a refund and haven't received it yet.
Order_Number: 6155

Desired Outcome

Refund I would like a refund of the money I paid for the product.

Awful billing process, unreliable and ignores consumer inquiries. I have been trying to get refunded $113 since August 2017. They never shipped my product. Admitted the error but neglected to refund my money. I filed a complaint with Revdex.com and VHD had the nerve not to respond to their inquiry.

I placed an order for 16/18/20/20in bundles and a 14in HD closure on November 30, 2017. I paid for expedited shipping which was $18 in order to receive my hair within 4-7 business days because they guaranteed I would have my hair by 11 December 2017. This actually worked out perfectly as I would be leaving the country that same week but would still have enough time to get my hair done.*** was very nice and called me Monday (4 December 2017) and told me that my hair was going to be shipped the next day. I checked my email and the VHD website a few days later and I had not reviewed a tracking number nor a updated status so I resorted to emailing the VHD customer care inquiring about my hair and they told me due to the snow storm, shipping was behind. I could see this as feasible had it not only snowed for two day and those day were two days after*** called me saying my order would ship. Law also requires the business to inform the consumer if their package will not be delivered on time and promise a new date. This only happened after I messaged them. They also guaranteed that I would have my order no later than today and that I would get a refund for my shipping. The only problem with that is, I still don't have a tracking number, their website still says my order is received and I leave the country in two days. This is a huge disappointment as I spent $378.

Refund I would like a full refund.

On 7/11/16 I placed an online order with Virgin Hair Depot. The product was paid in advance using a credit card in the amount of $113.95. Included in that amount was express delivery promised product within a few days. The order number assigned was 6113. After about two weeks my order was never received. I contacted the VHD several times inquiring about the status of my purchased product which was a Lace closure. After several unsuccessful attempts of trying to get them to deliver my product I cancelled the order on 08/24/17 and I requested a refund. Each time I attempted to contact them by phone to request status of my refund either got no answer or the run around. I was directed to contact someone at XXX-XXX-XXXX, XXX-XXX-XXXX and XXX-XXX-XXXX. After no success I recruited my mom to assist with this problem. She sent an email as directed by one of the agents of VHD to ***@virginhairdepot.com on 10/17/17. They responded on 10/19/17 that they would look into this issue and assigned a ticket number #XXXXXXX and promised there would be a resolution in 3 days. On 10/25/17 VHD responded saying they found that the $113.95 was not credited due to a new software implementation and therefore would refund the money via certified mail to the billing address listed on the order. On 11/3/17, 11/7/17 and 11/9/17 I followed up due to non-receipt of payment promised and no response and spoke with an agent at the 404 telephone number and the agent said she would pass *** information on to her manager *** and have him look into it. I never received a call back from him. On 11/9/17 a email was received from VHD stating they realize that a refund is due but there is mismatch information on file and now they are requesting a copy of photo ID and credit card information. It has been the same information on file from the beginning never anything different. I am not trusting them to release personally identyfing information when they already have it. I am just requesting my money back.

Desired Outcome

Refund I am rightfully due the $113.95 and would like my money refunded as soon as possible. I have tried to deal with this company on a professional basis and have been extremely patient. I have now heard complaints from other consumers regarding either VHD delivery practice and refunds. VHD sent an email and several times agreed that this money would be refunded. It has been four months and no product received and they are stealing my money. The billing address is my grandmother's

I made two purchases with this company but, it took entirely too long for my order to be shipped. I've cancelled both of my orders.
July 17, 2017: Placed my first order for $999. This was a wholesale package that came with a series of webinars. After scheduling my webinar multiple times online with no response during my appointment time, I decided to call the store. I wasn't able to get in contact with anyone until August 1st to get the scheduling issue fixed.
July 26, 2017: Placed my second order for $1,868.85
During this time I still haven't received any shipping confirmation from my first order. But, was assured by their "customer service" team that both order will be merged and shipped that week.
August 1, 2017: I called and emailed inquiring about my order but was told this it was going to be shipped this week. So I just told them I'll take my order as is.
August 12,2017: I requested for both of my orders to be cancelled and only the first one was. It wasn't until August 28th that my second order was canceled. I was told that it could take 7-10 business days for my refund to show back up on my card.
September 26, 2017: It wasn't until the day after I posted on their Instagram account politely inquiring about my refund that I received. I was told a cashier's check would be mailed out to me that Friday. It was also never explained to me as to why they were unable to put the money back on my card.
October 7,2017: Since then I have emailed wondering if I would receive a tracking number for the deliver and to confirm the refund amount. I of course have not heard anything back. I was going to wait until this upcoming Monday to file a complaint after I tried contacting them again but, I'm sure my calls will be ignored anyways. I just want my money back. I thought maybe I caught them at a bad time and they were short staffed. But, I cant wait any longer.

Desired Outcome

I just want my money back. They immediately kicked me out of the wholesale portal when I cancelled my order but my money has yet to be refunded.

Customer Response • Jan 31, 2018

I have placed a claim with this company before but they assured me that I would be getting a refund back in October of 2017 but that never happened.
Hello, I have been in contact with this company since July of last year. I foolishly placed two orders with this company one order in the amount of $1865.85 and the other $999. After about a month I canceled the orders because I never received a shipping confirmation. My number has been blocked from their Atlanta location (straight to voicemail) and there is absolutely no luck via email. I just want my money back. I never wanted to write but, I also didn't want to be out of any money. I can say that I was scammed. The reason is that I actually spoke with the owner who assured me that I would be receiving a full refund.

It has been over a month since I have ordered my product from Virgin Hair Depot and I have still not reviewed my product or a refund as promised. This has been going on since the beginning of August and they have stopped responding to my calls and emails. I was last refunded my shipping money of $18 but not the money for my $400 product. They claimed the full refund would take 3-7 days but it has been well over 2 weeks. I cannot get a hold of them now. They are ignoring all emails and calls. I know they are still out there (even though they are ignoring my emails/calls) because they have tried to follow me on social media accounts and are actively posting. I am unsure what to do next and I want to put this out there to protect and prevent anyone else from getting scammed. Please comment if anyone has any advice how to go about getting my money back.

Refund I want a full refund.

I had placed 2 orders within the first week of august. Aug 2nd and Aug 9th. The site advertises that shipments are received within 14 days. I didnt need the hair until Aug22nd so I placed the first order with regular shipping. The second order I placed on Aug9th and paid an extra $18 for fast shipping. In total with both orders I paid $368.00. I waited until Aug20th to inquire about my order. I was told there was a "glitch" and both orders would be shipped that friday and I would receive my order by the 21st. On the 22nd I had to call a second time. I was then told neither of my orders would be shipped until sept 1st. I had the order canceled and was told I would get a refund in 5-7 days. After 8 days of waiting for a refund,I call and was told the person who handles refunds won't be available until later. It was 5:00pm when I called. It has been a month. I have sent 5 emails,a Facebook message, and numerous calls that go to a cell Phone. I've had to contact my bank to start a claim.
