I had VIP replace a shutoff valve and disconnect a water heater (cut the copper lines in and out). While I have no complaints about the work done, I feel the price charged for the service was exorbitant. The actual work done took less than 30 minutes. Additionally, there was a wait of 30 minutes while the maintenance person was found to shut off water to my building, so that is not on VIP. His employee showed up 30 minutes before the scheduled time to shut the water off and I was billed for that time. I was also told I was billed for time to travel to and from my job.
To Vince's credit, he did not dodge my complaint/question. I did speak with him on the phone and he felt the charges were fair, even after I presented my side. We had verbally agreed that the price would not exceed a certain amount and it went over that amount. Perhaps that is on me for not having a quote in writing before the work was done, but since this was such a simple job I didn't feel it necessary. That is a lesson learned for me.
My words of advice for anyone dealing with this company is to have an estimate prepared in writing so, unlike me, you are not unpleasantly surprised when the bill arrives in the mail.

I called re:a leaking toilet, they came the same day at a time convenient for me. The plumber was polite, professional and cleaned up after the project. Unfortunately the toilet continued to leak, but they again came the same I called at a time convenient for me even though it was after their normal business hours. This time it was fixed & there was no extra charge. I really appreciated their responsiveness, professionalism, and the fact they were were true to their guarantee of their work. I would definitely use them again & refer them to family & friends (in fact I already have!)
