I moved into Academy Terrace Apartments in September of 2015. For the first year that I was there, I had a great experience. As soon as I renewed my lease for another year though, I began having issues with getting maintenance requests completed in a timely manner. I had a bee infestation outside on my patio (in the wood beams). I reported this issue in March 2017 and the bees were there until I moved out at the end of August 2017. I have a video of the probably 100+ bees both alive and dead. My water was so hot for about two months that I had to wash my hands with hand sanitizer or bottled water. I reported this issue when both of my cold water faucets were only putting out steaming water. If this is not enough, new management took over and maintenance requests took even longer to complete and residents began being charged $2.50-$25 to pay their rent online, after a $10 set up fee. I was then charged ridiculous move-out fees for "cleaning". I do not recommend these apartments to anyone now. Highly dissatisfied.
