Worst and worst every time, they removed all the deals that was accepted to stay with them and get back to the same starting point without any communication. Not acceptable that Videotron not share any communication when any changed a made on the bill statement.
I called this company to inquire about their internet and cable packages. This call was being recorded as they had mentioned that. The sales representative had asked me what I was looking for and I responded that I was looking for a quote on the cost of cable and internet packages. He then asked if I would be willing to do cash or monthly payments which involved a credit check. I said I was not wanting a credit check and said this several times as I know that when you get credit checks done it affects your credit rating. The associate asked me if I agreed to cash payments so he could then provide me with the payment details. I said yes I agree. Then ensured again that I was not going to be receiving a credit check. He said he's already done the credit check even after multiple times I said not to. I asked to speak with the manager and when the manager got on the phone he said that he would listen to the recording and put me on hold. The phone disconnected after 5 minutes of me holding. This has in turn now affected my credit rating.
Terrible service, dishonest telecomm giant. We switched to Videotron internet on promotion which also included "***" service. ***. When I called to inquire about internet service, I specifically asked about this service and was indicated I would have access by subscribing to their website. I proceeded by switching internet service with them. Few days later, a technician came home and installed modem. ***. I then went to create an account as instructed, downloaded app to find out I could see all the shows and movies but would have to PAY up to 7$/movie to simply watch! I did not have access to subscription based service which they offer similar to ***. I called to complain and they talked to me as if I was stupid, insisting it was clear I had access to *** but not cloud *** (paid service). So basically their promotion gave me access to view the platform but not watch anything! This is like browsing *** Pay Movies for content to buy. Anyone from the public can do this. I ended up cancelling the entire service after having wasted my time, and even their customer retention department would not offer me 1 year of service which was our request. They rather lied to me saying there were no promotions and nothing they could offer, after a *** phone rep had offered me a month free. So they definitely had ability to offer service which would literally have cost them the electricity to run servers which we would have accessed occasionally to keep loyal customers for years to come, instead we cancelled. Now they have making me displace to return equipment to their store. Also when I called to find out what the issue was and ended up turning down the 1 month offer and rather requested a 1 year, the lady hung up on me! Terrible client service, ***.
