VI Fitness

Almost years ago I signed a year agreement to lock in a discount rate for the year long membership
At first my experience was pleasant, the gym has nice facilities and the staff are friendly whilst you are thereI then had a car accident that stopped me from being able to go to my workplace and in turn the gym
I knew I was under my year agreement still with them, so I left it as it was under contract until June that year, never using the facilities again
I continued to pay my invoice, and when my agreement was up for the year, I switched banks
months later I get a call from my old bank saying I have $*** over overdue feesI didn't understand as everything that was due to come out of that bank account had finished!
VI fitness never cancelled my account after our year agreement, continuing to charge me, and as I had changed bank providers I had no knowledge of this until my bank decided to let me know
Obviously, I was very upset so I called VI fitness directly to find out what happenedSupposedly after year, the account goes to month to month which was never explained to me, nor was it in the contract that I had signed
When I asked for my money back they explained that head office had denied my request, yet there is no number to contact head office directly
They are demanding I pay my overdue fees - for a service I haven't used in over a year, that I was never told I was going to have to pay in the first place!
