Vertica Resident Services

Been a resident on the same property for 8 years. It was beautiful, older but well maintained, then Vertica came in and it was a slow decline. I have come to think of Vertica as slum makers, their negligence and skinny budget devalues property and services to such a degree that the buildings become sick, the tenants lose enjoyment of the property, while they squeeze lifeblood of money through the low budgets and values of their head offices.

Vertica markets itself as managing Luxury rentals, honestly how do you maintain luxury on shoestring budgets?

My first experience with Vertica was actually in a property downtown YYC, where they had again taken over the building with similar results. They cut down trees, minimize gardening costs by using concrete where possible, and skimp on important operations costs.

Neighbors have relayed experiences of extreme rudeness and even hostile responses during service requests for repairs; women, children, visible 'immigrants' or ethnicities are subject to discrimination
(paying higher rents, not being given incentives offered to the preferred residents, and hearing racial expletives from maintenance personnel)

The Resident Managers seem to have tough jobs There are a few staff that seem to want to improve things sincerely, but it would take an overhaul of their values and mission statements to really turn this business around.
