Vectren Energy Delivery of Ohio

Vectren indirectly does business with a company offering a form of insurance policy for appliances at home. Depending of how many appliances you want to protect you will be billed accordingly. Sounds like good protection for appliance failure. Until you need their services. I called about my cloths washer and lord did I got a rude awakening. I was told to get a repairman and then submit the bill for approval. I did exactly what they told me. They gave me two choices for repayment. Get a paper check but it will take at least 30 days to come. Or sent them my bank account and router number and it will be very quick. I was giving the run around. My repairman had to call Pivotal Home Solutions to give them a full report about my appliance, then I did not signed a payment form. Finally I got $400.00 which is the limit per appliance. I decided to cancel the policy. I called Vectren and reported to them that I cancelled the policy and since they are the ones collecting the money to please stop the billing. I was told that they will only take my energy charges from now on. To my chagrin I found out that they are still charging me for the Pivotal Home Solutions. I called both companies again. I was dismayed by Vectren's response. That it could take probably a couple of billing cycles for the payments to stop. There is no pro-rated policy practice so that it should be. Please note Vectren says that they do not have a relationship with Pivotal Home Solutions but Vectren collects the payments. That is all Vectren says. This form of doing business is not only tilted toward protecting themselves rather than providing the service they both offered.
