Review: The week of April 17th I had a contractor come out to look at my sprinkler system to the backyard. Was told that it sounded like someone had turned off the shut off valve. We began to look for the valve but couldn't find it. Was advised to contact the contractors who had put in the system. My ex-husband told me it was [redacted] Landscaping, and he was 100% sure of it. My husband also said that the job was done under the table for cash, so he could get a better deal, so we didn't have a receipt. Contacted [redacted] to ask it he recalled the job, was told that if they installed the system the valve should be by the manual valves. It wasn't. Told them that I would be going out of town on Friday afternoon, said he would try to have someone out on Friday morning to look at the system. He said if it was their job they would fix the problem, (because it wasn't done right to begin with), also quoted $60 travel, and $60 a hour. I agreed. Never heard from [redacted], but contacted them by phone when I saw they were working on the house next door. He sent 2 guys over to look at the system, and of course they denied that it was their job. Had a plane to catch so left them with my contractor to find the shut off valve. They spent 4 hrs at my house, my contractor informed me of the job that was done and produced receipts of what he had done. A week later was approached by Mr. [redacted] as I was pulling up in my garage demanding to be paid $400. Was late for an appointment and couldn't speak with him at that time. On May 12th Mr. [redacted] knocked on my door at 830 at night wanting his money. Asked how much I owed him and he said $400. Told me he was giving me a break and only charging me $50. Told him you were here for 4 hrs how is that $400. His reply was that he had 2 men over, I was under the impression it was a hourly rate per job not per person. He then replied he would take $350. I was never given a receipt, again, of anything he did. Or anything in writing. Even at 60 it would be 240. Terrible experience with this coDesired Settlement: Paid Mr. [redacted] $350 but the job was only a four hour job. He also said it would be $50 cause he was given me a break. So the job basically cost me $100 a hour, but he gave me a break of $350. That's not much of a break. Would like to be refunded for the job that was there fault to begin with, when they decided to cut their cost on the initial job.

Response:
Company states that they did the job for this consumer 7 years ago. They were working down the street and the consumer asked that they come over and fix the issue. When we got over there it was determined that the consumers had concrete laid and when the concrete was laid the contractor took the box off the ball value and placed the concrete to close to the ball value. Their landscaper [redacted] stated that he could not put the box back on. Once all was figured we turned the value back on all the way up. We warranty our work for one year. We are not at fault. The reason that we had to come back later was because the consumer were very upset at us because they thought that it was our fault so we at that point did not want to argue. We did go back later and get our money.

Response:
I am rejecting the response of Mr. [redacted] because: The original accepted price was $60 a hour with $60 travel, which equals $300, not $400 or $350. I don't understand how Mr. [redacted] came up with
