Unprofessional and misleading service during an evaluation with . L.
I chose to get an evaluation for a dental implant, after beg recommended by a friend. Since English is not my first language, I was told by my friend (and I confirmed later on the Vanderbilt Health website) that in. L would be able to answer my questions in a language I am more comfortable with, Chinese. Unfortunately, even if that was the case, the curt encounter consisted of less then a sentence between me and the doctor.
She arrived with an intern with a heavy accent, exchanged a couple of sentences with him while he asked me a few questions before they both left the room. I did not get to ask any questions and the language barrier along with the intern's accent defeated the purpose of the visit. Again, I honestly do not think I exchanged a full sentence with . L in the whole exchange.
I was later told to follow a nurse to get some "pictures" which I assumed to mean x-rays because that was what I had to take when going to a new dental office. Not only did they take x-rays which were covered by my dental plan, they also took a "cone beam CT capture" that I was not informed of which was not covered.
To my surprise, I later received a bill for almost $700 and after insurance for the x-rays still more than half that amount.
In summary, I chose to go to her for the sole reason to get a better understandg of my situation just to have no time to interact with . L and a hefty bill.
