Hi, I did get my car back and they did put a lot into it but I won't be back anytime soon. I really don't know who to believe. That's why I have always tried to do the work myself I have considered this issue closed. I guess live and learn [redacted]
Review: Three weeks ago we had a transmission rebuild done on a Ford Freestar. The job took a week and a haft to compete and that was Ok. Five days after the Freestar was returned to us the the transmission developed a leak from a coolant line that runs from the transmission to the radiator. The Freestar was towed back to Vanlinns for service.
The people at Vanlinns said that reason the leak happened is that the radiator had shifted.
Back in January of this year I had to have the radiator replaced, the local high school did the work and all was fine. I drove the Freestar without issue. during that time the radiator didn't shift in any way.
Now when talking with the service representative he said that coolant line could have gotten damaged from the engine shifting around. But he felt that it was from the radiator shifting.
I asked him why wouldn't the radiator shifted in the last 7 mounts? He didn't have a answer. Then I told him that the coolant line was compromised when Vanlinns was working on the transmission.Desired Settlement: Since the transmission was compromised with a leaking coolant line the transmission may not be any good any more.
So there for would like to have my money back which is $3100.00.
