Van Horn Chevrolet of Plymouth

I purchased a used Equinox from them about 6 months ago. In March, I had engine trouble and footed the bill at $1500. Now in May, I experienced similar issues. When I brought it to an independent dealer, they told me I needed a new engine. Brought it back to Van Horn and they are telling me the same thing. New engine. When I questioned why something like this was not caught when the car was on their lot, manager Jerry said "I'm not insinuating anything, but this is an ongoing issue." I did not even drive the car more than 5k miles, which tells me that this big of an issue would have been visible before I made the purchase. They are only offering to knock $1000 off the cost of the engine. They do not back their work, and they will not back you if you make a purchase at Van Horn. Do not trust them.

I would not recommend anyone to purchase a car for Van Horn. I purchased an 2008 Dodge Avenger in August of 2012. About 3 years later I wanted to trade the car in for an upgrade and couldn't do it at all. Come to find out that Van horn selling savage and flood damage vehicles. No other car lot would do anything with the car. They charged me 15 thousand for a car that had be TOTALED out. I'm suck with this car still. I never received an title for this car. At the time of the purchase the salespersons were Paul and Brian. This is a horrible and ridiculous place to ever go and purchase an vehicle. I really wish something could be done about this as to where I'm compensated for all the money they charged me and it not be on my credit report all.
