We received your letter from *** *** regarding the service on her vehicle. After talking to the technicians who spoke with Mrs***, we realize that we did make a mistake. On her previous visit we did service her transmission at a cost of $134.99. Unfortunately our
technicians did not follow protocol and look on their computer to see what services had been performed on her previous visit. Although her transmission was serviced, the color of the fluid was still dark. This is most likely due to the transmission having not been serviced in awhile. The contaminants build up and a transmission service will not clear it up completely. However, the technicians should never go by the color of the fluid as this is a common occurrence. It is also my understanding that she spoke to our newest technician that is still in training. That would explain the "deer in the headlights" look I'm sure he gave her when she questioned the service interval Although I left a message for Mrs*** I have not heard back from her. I would be more than happy to issue her a refund and an explanation as to why the technicians did not follow proceduresThey have both been given extra training on the subject, and additional courses on customer service
