My husband and I bought a vehicle from Value Max at their Memorial Drive address. Date of purchase was 11-13-14. I talked to our bank ([redacted]) about refinancing the loan. I was told I had to wait until we received the registration and then they would refinance it for us. Value Max didn't do a credit check and when we were signing the papers I noticed that the interest rate was at 27%. My husband and I have fairly decent credit. Our payment with value max was due on 12-13-14. They installed a GPS which they tried to shut down the vehicle on 12-17-14. I had told them that the loan was going to be paid off by the bank. My paperwork shows that $7818.34 was being financed. Value Max to [redacted] that payoff would be $8045.89 through 12-20-2014. The bank overnighted payment to Value Max. I was told that if overpayment Value Max would send the difference back to me. My husband and I should have 2 days of interest paid back to us. Have not received anything back. I have been trying to get a lien release since December. Have made numerous phone calls to Value Max. They told me that they mailed me the title. I never received title. I contacted [redacted] they said NO title has been printed or sent to Value Max or to me. Today, Value Max gave me a lien release, but put the wrong year of truck. Went back to get corrected, not sure if [redacted] in Raleigh will except the new lien release. When I got home, I noticed that their Notary put yesterdays date on lien release. Letter was dated today. Tired of All of the run around. By refinancing we took over $3,000 out of their pocket in interest. I also want to make sure that the lien release has gone through. This has been a Nightmare for me. Our sales manager tried to reach Ms. [redacted] by phone on January 23rd and 26th but was unsuccessful. We are forwarding a check for $22.72 representing overpaid interest as well as a new lien release to Ms. [redacted] at the address she has provided via certified mail ([redacted] Receipt No. [redacted]). We trust that her concerns have been resolved to her satisfaction. If she needs anything further, please encourage her to contact us directly. Consumer Response I will give thirds a couple of days to see ifthey send me the corrected lien release. I have heard it many times that they put title in the mail. I will not go to their business. I have wasted alot of time and gas going and forth. Thank you for your help. I did receive a phone call on January 23,2015 from value mass staying they would correct the lien and refunding monies owed.

Upon review of our records, we found that this vehicle was purchased over a year ago. Unfortunately, any and all warranties have since expired. Ms. [redacted] has enjoyed over some 30,000 miles on the vehicle since her purchase which suggests good use of the vehicle. Based on these findings, we would have to respectfully decline Ms. [redacted]'s request for any type of refund.
