Mr*** ***, Pursuant to your letter of April 5, and in keeping with our commitment to resolve your concerns regarding the operation of your Montana’s slide-out room, we once again contacted Keystone RV. We were put in touch with MrDavid H***, the Service Product Manager of Team Montana at Keystone RV MrH*** reviewed the repair record, asked us to perform a number of inspections, and concluded that the slide-out mechanism is in proper working condition. The slide-out should perform as designed provided that the trailer is level and, preferably, that the leveling system has been deployed. It is true that the slide-room was off track when the unit was returned to Valley RV in September of 2016. It is also true that this was after repairs to remedy this very same situation were effected by Valley RV in late August. However, since the Montana was returned to us in September, we have run the slide in and out dozens of times. With the trailer level, the slide has never failed to operate properly. As part of our testing, we purposely set the trailer to an unlevel condition and operated the slide-room. It jumped the track after only a few operations. Clearly, that the unit is level is critical to proper slide-room operation. Honestly, we have been over and over this slide-out and can find nothing out of normal. We encourage you to come pickup your Montana. We believe that the slide-room is operating properly and we fully stand behind same Sincerely, Wayne B*** Valley RV
