Review: We attended a sales presentation for a travel club that promised substantially lower travel prices plus a "free" Fly & Cruise Passport that included a round-trip airfare for two with an eight day cruise to a destination of our choice. The only cost to us would range between $156-$269 per person for air taxes, government taxes and port fees. When we attempted to book this "free" trip our costs were going to be $3000. When we questioned this price, we were told there had been a misrepresentation for the costs by the company selling the travel club memberships. The basis for our joining this club was we would at least get our money's worth from the "free" trip. We priced the same flight and cruise with our local AAA agent and the price was comparable to our "free" price. We paid $3643 for the travel club membership and have found their prices on any airfare or cruise is more than what we would pay to book the trip ourselves or thru our local AAA agent. We were told not to book our "free" trip for at least 10 days to give the company time to process our membership. We were given false information and given false prices during the sales presentation.Desired Settlement: We would like a full refund of our purchase price ($3643.00). We have canceled the credit card we used to make this purchase to avoid the annual $199 fee from being charged again.
