Regards,
Vactrax was called to investigate our central vacuum system which was running extremely loudly. They diagnosed the problem to a missing filter which allowed the motor to suck up a lot of debris. The technician stated a new motor would cost $600.00 +$75.00/hour for labor. They offered a brand new unit for $775.00. We opted for the new unit since it seemed like the cost would be very similar. That evening we researched a new motor for the old system and found that it would have cost us $249.00 and would require less than an hour to install. We feel Vactrax overstated the cost of a new motor in order to "persuade" us to purchase the new unit. We will obviously not use them in the future nor recommend them to anyone else.
Review: I purchased a Beam Q Whole home vacuum system from VacTrax. The Beam Q power hose attachment began to fail several months ago. I called them, but no answer. Then the vacuum went out totally. Two weeks ago I called and emailed. A week ago, I called and emailed the company. To this point, I have left several messages for [redacted] to return my calls or emails. The company refuses to do so.Desired Settlement: The vaccum hose is warrantied for three years. Electrolux-Beam has attempted to call and email him as well. I would like for the company to either fix the hose switch or replace the hose that contains the pigtail with the on/off switch.
