After months of painfully slow and incomplete communication, multiple requests (from them) for the same identical documents that were uploaded over and over again, our application was denied. The denial gave reasons that were completely unrelated to our company, citing a loan for a million dollars in the name of a person I do not know for a business that is not mine, for a building I do not own, in another state where I do not live or work. They refuse to communicate except via their "live" chat, which is never live and can take up to a week for a response to be sent, and responses are always incomplete. If you actually need certification, stay far, far away from this agency. We've lost out on some major contracts due to their incompetency, and now beginning the process over again with a different agency, out substantial time and money.

They are very slow in doing my paperwork. They have no clue what they are doing. I had asked for a phone call just to get things straightened out and was told it wasn't necessary. So aftermath, there were lots of going back and forth sending documents and the same documents over and over again because no one cares to look at the. Please stay away from this company.

The USWCC should lose its status as a third-party certifier.

They denied my application citing three causes that were completely and demonstrably false. It's as if they were reviewing a different applicant's paperwork when adjudicating my application. They claimed based on our taxes that I was employed full time by another company - FALSE! They claimed that our operating agreement requires unanimous consent of all the members for certain decisions to be made - FALSE! And they claimed that the woman owner was not the highest officer with control - FALSE!

Furthermore, the USWCC offers absolutely no recourse to its clients when they make a mistake. There is no appeal process. There is no way to even communicate their mistake to them in any meaningful way. They do not accept any communications regarding their certification decisions. But of course you can pay a whole other fee and apply again after 90 days.

This is a joke and a scam. Their certification group needs to be shut down.

For an organization that says it helps women it appears just to scam women. There needs to be an investigation on this organization and how they are scamming women out of money and resources. I did not lose as much as other businesses, but they have been allowed to operate to long. How about a class action against the organization? Perhaps then they will stop scamming. How many people are will or have access to an attorney that is willing to take this case?

I paid money. I asked for a refund that day. They said there are no refunds so I said that I would go through the process. Spent many hours emailing and talking to people and they told me I had to reapply and pay more. A complete SCAM. I can't believe I fell for it. Delete their emails!

Do not use this organization- You pay them money and then they disappear- I am going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Attorney General against them. This is a complete con. Use a reputable organization such as WBENC to get a WOSB Certification- This group is not reputable do not give them any money.

We paid to go through the WOSB certification TWICE, each time we were denied, none of our requests for more information were addressed.
The explanations of clarifying information was never even read - this we know because the denials were evidence that what we submitted was never read, if the material had been read USWCC would have come back to us for clarification or they would have approved the WOSB certification.
In the second application, questions were only asked about the first application and the information for the second application again was apparently never reviewed.
Additionally it appears whoever is reviewing the information does not really understand tax issues or general business policies. Again we asked them several times for clarification of the additional information USWCC was requesting with no response, just a denial - again with no explanation.
I would not recommend the WOSB certification through USWCC to anyone.

Review: On July 12, 2013 I expressed my concern about the length time process had taken and that I was very concerned. I received a request. I decided to upgrade my membership to Business Plus and expressed concern again. Nor had I receive any communication that the information was not received. On July 12, 2013 I contacted U.S.Women’s Chamber of Commerce thru instant messaging which is available on their website .Due to system issue ended up speaking directly with an agent [redacted] expressing my concern with the certification process and discussed in detail the Bid Match Notification program. I was told to gain access to Bid Match program would require me to upgrade to the Business Member plus program which was an additional $200.00 dollars. I again expressed concern regarding the certication process and I was fearful of being approved. I was assured by [redacted] that my application was in progress of being reviewed which I later learned was very misleading. I was told someone would contact me to setup Bid Notifications. I have never been contacted nor received useful information other than solicitation emails selling products. This organization refuses basic communication with you other than selling .They never responds. This organization is basically an email spammer. I should be refunded $395.00 for the Business Member plus program during 1 year membership never received any valuable information just solicitation emails. No certification or Bid Match setup.
