Review: In 2010 we signed up with U.S. Debt Relief to help us pay our bills. Our account manager there was [redacted]. She was very helpful and seemed to be very honest and knowledgable about the program. I faxed her a list of credit card accounts and account numbers that I wished the company to pay off. She explained that the money drafted from our account would go into a holding account with Noteworld Inc. and from there, after an settlement agreement made with the creditor, drawn out and the creditor paid. At first, we were able to view these withdrawals on Noteworld's website. Then we were not. I began calling [redacted]a several times per month asking for detailed information concerning the accounts that were being paid. She faxed or emailed me settlement agreement letters from our creditors. We did receive some letters from creditors saying that our accounts with them had been settled through U.S. Debt Relief. We continued the program but watched carefully and called frequently. [redacted]a was always a huge help. I kept my own records of paid off accounts based on the information she was giving me each month. We came down to the last account and I knew that the last draft would actually be more than the amount needed to pay off that account. She stated that the draft would only be for the amount of the debt and the rest would be returned to us. The had been drafting $750 over a 33 month period ($24,750). The fees were supposed to have been minimal for this service, however, we noticed before they changed what we could see on the Noteworld website, that they exceeded $100/month!!! I could never get anyone at Noteworld to email me back and the number listed on the account would only allow me to leave a message. [redacted]a reassured us that she had been doing this a long time and it was legit. After receiving the settlement letters, we had no reason to doubt her. We have since found that accounts were not paid. Now we cannot get anyone from U.S. Debt Relief to return our calls. WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR MONEY!!!Desired Settlement: I want all the money that did not go towards a settlement of a debt, returned to me. I am now faced with either paying these creditors on my own or watching me credit go down the toilet!
