I went to this store for the CEO of my company. We have been buying at that store locally for 4 years. Anyhow, I needed a power supply for my old Dell laptop. The guy finds one, wraps some black tape around bare wires and sells it to me for $25. I tested the cord in the store, surprisingly it worked, or appeared to. Well I brought it to my boss, plugged the laptop in and proceeded to fry my laptop. I called Nd politely requested a refund. He said no refunds on used power cords. I told him that he didn't even look up the correct model number for my power cord and moreover, he wrapped exposed wire in electrical tape an then sold it to me. Seems like they wanted to get rid of a customer. Do yourself a favor unless you want a computer or peripheral that is slapped together. Oh yeah, and they d ok not refund defective products. They just sell them. Amazon, overstock for hardware. There are some really talented IT professionals in the area who stand behind their services. Think it's time for retirement for U.S. Computers. No wonder small businesses are dwindling. I have now bought that same cord online ( which by the way is new is only $16.95 and you can return it if its defective) from Amazon, a company that honors their products. What a shame guys. You lost a 4 year long customer because of a power cord you sold my company and refused to exchange or refund.
Never repaired my laptop. Never called when they said they would.
DON'T USE THIS SHOP!!!!! I took a laptop computer to this store to be repaired. Was told they would call me when it was ready. After a period of time of not hearing from them I stopped by to check on it. They informed me they were still waiting for the part. After several calls I stopped in again. This time I was told they couldn't find it. They were going to check on it and call me. Today when I called I was told it was never found. That I must have abandoned it. I NEVER ABANDONED MY COMPUTER!!!! No call, no attempt to contact me, so I must have just abandoned it, right? NOT!!! Please if you value your computer don't let these guys have it!It was a 17" screen Dell laptop. The screen was broken.
This company should have contacted me before classified my computer as abandoned. I should be reimbursed for the laptop or another one offered in it's place.
This response was taken verbally by Revdex.com:
The customer brought her laptop in for repair in February 2017, it needed a new screen. We were unable to obtain the necessary parts needed to repair the laptop and the customer was called multiple times to inform her we could not repair her laptop and to come pick it up. We never heard from the customer. Per our store policies, which are posted in multiple places throughout the store, after 90 days items are considered abandoned and disposed. We did not hear from the customer for over 6 months.
Many consumers choose to abandon their items as the value of the computer is not worth the repair cost or diagnostic fee. We do not resell customer's computers. All of our items sold are purchased through one vendor and are off-lease systems. All computers abandoned by customers are picked up by an electronic recycling company.
