Review: Called for service for a GE refrigerator that was freezing in the refrig. compartment and the motor was running constantly. On 11/5/2013 service man Jay came out and said the cold control thermostat needed to be replaced and he required a $100 deposit to order the part. I have called him 2 times and he says the part is not available yet since there is a high demand for that. Today I have tried to reach someone at the company at 6 different numbers that are listed on their yellow page ad (3) and 3 on the receipt he left. No answers on any of them and it has been 3 weeks since Jay was here. Is this a reputable business or a rip off company?Desired Settlement: Would like to know if the refrig. is going to get fixed soon or would like a refund so I can get a reputable repair service.

Thank you for your service. I got a call from Jay Sat. a.m., Nov 29th, that the part for my refrigerator was in and he was willing to come and fix it that day. We were leaving for the day so I told him I would contact him for a better time. He came out today, 12/5, and got the part installed. The $135 thermostat has a 90 day warranty. GE products must not the quality they used to be. The total charge was $245. He is very proud of his AAA rating w/Revdex.com. I will not use that company again because I feel he should have called me to tell me what was causing the delay. He did explain why there were 7 different phone #s but no explanation why there was no answer on any of them the day I called. Thanks for "listening" & thanks again for your service & the solution. Happy Holidays!!!!! [redacted]
I used Universal Appliance Co. this afternoon. They advertise as being Revdex.com accredited, but this website states otherwise.
My washing machine was loading with water and agitating, but not draining. Jay Jun explained that the problem was likely due to operator error by mixing fabric weights like towels with lighter fabrics. I explained that was not the case and that the washer was moving as well.
He then went on to check the left leg to see if it was balanced. He determined that was the problem. I asked him to make sure by putting in a load and he refused. I paid $85.00 for the service. I put in two towels and within 15 minutes my washer still was not draining.
I called Jay Jun. I asked him to return and he said he would not come back. I told him I am not happy since he did not fix the problem. He said he didn't know what it was and would not be coming back. This occurred at 4:00 PM today and he has decided not to return.
He did agree to refund my $85.00!!!
I am now without an operating washing machine for another day.
