used this company previously and so tried to use them againEstimator arrived on time, quoted for the work and arranged a start date and timeAny changes and I would be calledFriday arrived but the engineer didn'tAfter two calls from me and hours after the specified time I cancelled the appointmentAfter my first call I was told he was miles away and to allow him minutesI waited one and a half hours before calling to be told it would be another hour until he arrivedThis for a job which was supposed to take all day with a start time of between and Extremely poor serviceNo calls to me to say there would be a delay and no apology

I had several estimates from different companies since my ac was years old and the rebates were going to endSo I chose universal air for a rheem unit.they installed the unit but only one person did all the work and it took hours until late after darkAfter that we had multiple leaks from unit and had line flushed.and before the years end we had water damage with a large leakWe called company and they charged us to come out and the service rep was nasty everytimeThey finally came out and reinstalled the unit because it was improperly installedThey did not replace the soaked box and we were told we would have to pay dollars to rebuild the boxThey charged me when it leaked againI was told that the position of unit was still not properly installed.luckly the restoration company had their ac company come out and reinstall and rebuild the boxI do not recommend universal air to come out to anyones houseThe price seemed right but not in the longrunAny company that charges you to come out within that first year and with multiple problems, should not be in businessThey should be accountable for their actions and there shotty work

I called for the first time on 8-6-and spoke with some one in there officethey were very nice and set up a appointment for one of there techs to look at the A.C for the next daythe A/C was installed on 5--and it has been wonderful for years but two months ago the A/C started shutting down when it got hot outside the tech show up he went into the attic look at the drip pan and then look at the contacter then sad that will be dollars I ask him what the problem was he told me that I dont knowHe told me to call the company when it happens againI told him that it happens every now and then, the compressor shuts off for no reason, even when it isn't hot outsideI checked the voltage that's going to the AC and it is apparent that its not the breakerI think that the motor has a short in it, but the tech doesn't know how to check for itNow, what do I do?
