Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/21) */
On Saturday August 8th this customer came into the store and purchased a couple large furniture items, one of which being the baby bed. As usual she was given a hand written ticket stating she has paid for them and has until the closing of the...

next business day to pick these items up or a storage fee of 10$ a day will be charged. The next time we heard from her was Wednesday August 12th when she called here and talked to the assistant manager. She stated that she came in to pick the items up Monday and the cashier told her that she needed to have her ticket to pick the items up. He informed her that the storage fee will need to be paid, and she should call the General Manager if she would like to talk to someone else about it. She chose not to call. We do not require any customer to have their receipt with them when they pick up their items. We write the last name of the customer printed neatly because signatures are not always legible. Our ticket books have carbon backs this way we have a copy and we can just simply ask the last name and look in our book. The cashier she talked to has worked here for greater than 2 years and would not have told her anything like this. The next time we saw her was the next day, Thursday August 13th. She came in and talked to the General Manager and said that she had called and talked to the cashier on Monday. First she said she came up to pick them up now she says she called about them. We asked who she talked to and she said the young lady with the shades (sun glasses). Unfortunately for her we have caller ID and there were no calls from 4:00p.m. - 8:00p.m. which is the shift of the cashier on mondays. There are only male employees other than her on mondays. We told her that she would still have to pay the storage fee and no one told her that we would wave the fee. She was argumentative but that's fine. She paid the fee and as myself and another employee were walking to the back with tools to take the bed apart she stated "i'm gunna get my brother to come up here and make sure they don't break my [redacted]". I walked back up front immediately and told her very sternly and probably very rudely that I'm not going to take her things apart if she was accusing me of going to break it. I did not curse at her because I do not curse, at work. I'm assuming it was her mother that was with her and she was very sweet and tried to talk to me and get the situation resolved. I then decided to continue and take the bed apart. She continued to curse and complain loudly in our very small store and it was not acceptable. Rightfully so the General Manager stepped in and told her that she needed to wait outside because she can't keep cursing and complaining in here and bothering everyone. She got very angry at that but her mother convinced her to go outside. Her mother came back and watched us take the bed apart and there were no more problems. In this complaint she says that the bed was then left again and not taken and remained at the store. I do not know what she is talking about. This all happened on Thursday August 13th, and she took her items on that same day. Also she had thought we did something rude with not putting her items in the back room. Every furniture item is taken off of the truck and placed on the sales floor. It is then priced. When the item sells it is marked sold and left exactly where it is. No large furniture goes to the back room ever. The back room is much too small for any furniture.
