My husband and I had a wonderful experience working with Tim C (Sr. Estimator) and everyone in the company, when we put on a new roof and skylights. Given that positive experience, we contacted them again for windows and Everlast siding. Once again, Tim C and Chris S (Project Manager), saw to every detail we requested, and more. The entire team was very accommodating, professional and prompt throughout the process. (Not sure of all the guys names, but special thanks to Marcus, who worked hard to make everything look good).
End of project, everything was cleaned up. Hard to imagine considering the large dumpster of materials pulled off the house.
In our final walk around, I discussed more work I would like done, if they could do it. Turns out, they can and they will.
I would recommend United Home Experts to everyone.
Thanks, United Home Experts Team for helping to make our house look new again:)

( NO STARS)
I had *** windows installed by United Home Experts (UHE) in Ashland, MA, and 2 years later I am still waiting for the punch list to be complete.
No caulking was done on the exterior windows, which I had to pay the painter to do the task that I originally paid UHE to complete.
Per *** window installation guide, caulking is recommended on all windows, I'm not sure why the mfg's installations were not followed, by UHE.
In Addition, monies were overcharged by UHE to our credit card, which had to be resolved with our credit card company.
A separate item was also overcharged (doors) for an item we did not order, which still has not been refunded, despite phone calls and letters- 2 years later.
I reached out to UHE with phone calls and letters, to no avail, and no one has addressed this to date, hence the unacceptable review on the Revdex.com site.
***Newton, MA.

United Painting Company Response • Jul 09, 2020

Good morning. My name is Jeff R and I am the GM at UHE. I have been with the company since 2/19 and thus have come into Ms *** situation and have educated myself on the background. Our story is much different that Ms *** as she is unfortunately not representing correctly what happened. To start, the job was booked on 6/25/18. There were windows for $21,908 and yes there was a door for $8,632. From what I can gather the door was cancelled once we were on the job doing windows and due to we would then end up eating the cost of a custom door. By way of our documentation, I have located a "release agreement" dated 10/10/18 that would release the customer of the door ONLY and also states that no publishing or disparaging remarks can be made in reference to the door part of the contract. I am assuming this was never signed by the customer and thus her door deposit is in question (not to mention her remarks would be in contrast to the agreement). In addition at the Oct 2018 timeframe while we were trying to work out details, Ms Tansantisuk became unreachable; ghosted as the terminology goes. We have multiple documents and emails of our attempts to reach her to no avail. Fast forward to the 2020 and now I am involved and trying to help the customer. The requests she makes on her windows are incorrect and out of scope. It is explained to her as well as all our customers that when we install windows that are tear outs, you will need to hire a painter to do finishing touches and fill some nail holes. We make it clear that this is not in scope. With that said the PM and Install crew went back and over/above tried to please the customer which unfortunately there was no pleasing. The contract minus the door was paid in full by the customer which would generally close our contractual obligations. However it is not by surprise that we boast a 4.9 out of 5 Customer rating on google and that is because we are super urgent around Customer Service and staying accountable and responsible to our customers no matter how long ago they worked with us (within reason of course...). So in closing for now, I am currently working with the customer and have informed her that I am trying to help her. Today is 7/9/20 and my last correspondence with her was 7/8/20.

We had a contract with United Home Experts to paint our house and garage, replace two windows and replace part of the siding. We were willing to pay top dollar for the best quality work with the best material. However, we are still very unhappy about the work done around the window.

The unresolved problem is the two clapboards next to the window. They were not installed correctly.

The problem with the boards is that the rough side of the boards is exposed. We do not accept the rough boards as a respectable finished product and we have complained about this many times, verbally and in writing. The last two times were by email on June 4 and June 8. The project manager promised us that he would resolve the problem. He said the boards only needed to be sanded down. However, the painters informed us that they sanded them down 3 times and it made no difference in their appearance.

United Painting Company Response • Jun 12, 2020

It
was explained many times in person that the customers perception of the
clapboard being installed with the wrong side out makes no difference to the
finish. Wood can be sanded primed and painted. As he stated in his complaint we
did that three times and the clapboards still look different from the existing
clapboards.The
reason as explained on site many times is the original clapboards on the house
are thicker and older than the new clapboard. They will never look the same and
blend in perfectly. Furthermore the existing clapboards have been neglected for
20 years. Our paint job has been criticized many times but cannot be done
better than we have done with the condition of the house.I
will send my Carpenter back tomorrow morning or Monday morning to take care of
those two clipboards. I will prime them and paint them personally and expect
that the results will be the same as we have presently.

We hired United Home Experts for a recent chimney flashing and gutter repair job and were very satisfied with everything. This was the third time we’ve used them for a home improvement project.
Both the original estimate and repairs were done by Technician Doug. The estimate was done with no unwanted sales pressure and the job itself went very well. Doug was prompt, professional, friendly, and he fully explained everything to me. I would certainly look forward to working with him and United again.

I had a roof leak - it looked to be coming from under 1 of my solar panels. The company that installed my solar panels is no longer in business, so I started calling around. I called a few solar places asking for help and it was hard to even get a callback. So, I decided to just find a roofer and see if they could help. I started my search in town and found United Home Experts. I called and explained my situation - they were willing to send someone out in a few days to at least look at the problem. Doug D. arrived on-time (a little early, actually) and I showed him what was happening. Doug (great guy - knowledgable, professional, personable) got to work right away, found and fixed the problem (which thankfully ended up being right next to the solar panel - not under it), and also fixed a few loose shingles while he was on the roof. United Home Experts was GREAT to work with; from the moment I called to the moment the problem was resolved. I'll definitely check with the Experts again the next time I need work done on the house.

We recently replaced all the windows in our house - a substantial project. Estimates were received from 3 different vendors. Important to us was the discussion on a couple of windows the might be more challenging to replace. Therefore price was an issue but not the only factor. Window quality was also a major concern as installation procedure.

United Home Experts came in with a competitive price and had no issues with replacing all the windows without any major issues. Previous work on a roofing project had also gone well - and based on that project we knew we could always contact them quickly in case of problems.

The windows were replaced several weeks and the total project was completed in 3 days! The installation went smooth and quickly. The more difficult windows were also replaced without any problems. All the windows have a nice tight fit - especially with the new trim both inside - where needed - and outside. The site was cleaned and vacuumed after the job was finished.

We went with United Home Experts because of product quality, workmanship, and support. I strongly believe that's what we got.

UHE installed a new roof for me less than a year ago. I initially hired them because of their responsiveness, professionalism, and warranty. But that level of service apparently only applies when they're trying to sell you something. It's been less than a year and there's a small section of my roof that appears to be lifting off. I contacted them about this and they said they would come out to look at it. It has now been over 8 weeks since I first sent a message about this. I have been pretty patient but my patience has run out. I am now having to submit a Revdex.com complaint just to get them to honor their warranty. I'm sorry it's come to this but my multiple requests for service have gone ignored and I will no longer accept the response of "we are coming out this week" just to have no one come out and to have no one contact me to keep me informed. I will also no longer accept "weather related delays" when the weather over the last 8 weeks has been fine minus a few days here and there. It seems like all they care about is selling new products but not actually honoring their warranties. This level of service is unprofessional and unacceptable.

United Painting Company Response • Aug 06, 2019

We returned today to investigate the call on a roof issue. Our installer removed an area of bulging shingle to find that a section of the roof plywood sheathing substrate underneath had separated from the rafters, thus causing the shingles to lift. He added additional fasteners including screws to secure the sheathing to the rafters before installing new underlayment and roofing shingles in this area. The roof should be water tight now and all warranties per the original scope of work are in full effect.Thank you UHE Mgmt

1) Failure to appear to appear to finish siding installation, door installation, gutter installation. None of the workers have shown to work for weeks despite continued calls to project manager and main office.

2) Damage to porch gutters by leaning ladders.

3) 2 Broken windows.

4) Protective wrapping ripping off/poorly installed.

5) Leaving the property a mess with contruction debris.

6)Having to pay out of pocket cost to have construction waste removed.

7)Asked to replace trim with gouge on door trim and still have not replaced it.

Thank you for the chance to reply. We are very actively working with this customer to complete their siding project. We have been in contact with them continuously. We have not disappeared or avoided any communication with the customer. We understand the customer's perception that the project has taken longer than she anticipated. We are also eager to complete the project professionally. Unlike some contractors we will not hire any random person to work on site. We have high standards for experienced installers. We are waiting for the Foreman to return to work next week and at that point we are confident the project will move ahead. Please don't hesitate to reach your Project Manager directly,Thank you again,United Home Experts

The company is not actively working with me. They said the crew would return on January 2 and now the crew is returning January 7. They give me no reason for the delay. So you can see that I am concerned with what they tell me. There is concern of how they left the project. There is a danger to us and the neighborhood with abandoned scaffolding in the front and side of the house. The plastic wrapping has torn on a number of occasions. I had to go out in the middle of a storm in order to retrieve it so it didn't go into the neighbors property. I am 77 years old and this was a great hardship to me. Concerns such as damaged trim, broken windows, damaged gutters on the porch roof are never addressed. All I want is that the job be finished well and safely.Regards

We are equally eager to get the project completed too. We have communicated continuously with the customer several times in the past few days including the Project Manager, Lead Project Manager, and Operations Manager. Yes our goal and the customer's goal is the exact same. We are on the exact same page. We want the project completed just like the customer. Unfortunately for all of us the crew foreman was delayed in returning from a trip out of state. He is returning this weekend and will continue work on Monday. Unfortunately there is no other option. We know the customer would not want us to hire someone new to work on the property on short notice, and that is against our policy. Thank you for patience. We're eager to get the project completed as soon as possible. Best Regards, *** - Project Manager *** - Lead Project Manager

United Home Experts is a quality company. I had their polymer siding and PVC trim installed on my house in Scituate MA two years ago. I recently had an issue with the B-Board ceiling that was installed as part of the project. The company responded immediately to my e-mail and scheduled a Tech to visit my home and as the issue. The Tech was at my home within a few days. After assessing the issue it was determined that a carpenter would be required to perform the repair. Within a weeks time frame I as contacted again by United Home Experts staff and notified that Fernando was scheduled to repair my ceiling. Two days later Fernando arrived at my house and professionally repair my ceiling. Fernando was courteous and polite. When he finished the ceiling he took the time to explain what caused the issue and how he permanently fixed the issue. It was a pleasure having Fernando work on my house and I thank United Home Experts for their constant quick communication.

Contacted United Home Experts about replacing my roof Every person that I spoke to or met was great. I got a few different estimates for the work to be done, and was able to choose what I wanted to be done, based on both need, and what I felt I could afford. Doug came and did an estimate, and showed me what parts of the roof were damaged, with both pictures and an explanation. Everything moved right along. The work was started and completed on schedule. Both Doug and Kjell came at 7:00am and worked until the job was done around 6:00pm and another half hour cleanup. They did a great job, were friendly and professional. I will definitely use United Home Experts again.
