After noticing a coupon online for a $15.00 service fee, I contacted them to get the cost for re-keying my two locks. I was happy with the price but when I mentioned the coupon, everything changed. The Technician who responded said he needed to check with his Manager. Someone called me back and quoted a $50.00 service fee. Again, I mentioned the coupon. I was told it was up to the Technician. After going back & forth, it was clear that the coupon was a scam and they had no intention of honoring it. This company is deceitful and dishonest! They don’t even deserve the one star.

Review: We called United Locksmith to have the locks replaced after my moms purse was stolen. We had to have her house and business locks changed.Our mistake was not having asked how much it was going to be, and having him come and complete the work.When my mother informed me how much he charged, I knew immediately he was an opportunist, and that he had just ripped her off.I decided to call United to get a quote not telling them who I was.The quote he gave me was $19.00 for the service call and $35.00 per lock! for a total of $175.00 that is when I asked him " why he just charged my mom $517.00 to change the same three locks".At that point he did not have a answer and got very defensive, and said all his sales were final. I asked for a breakdown of the cost, which he refused.I called another local locksmith to see the going rate, he quoted me $69.00 for the service call and $15.00 per tumbler, plus a $35.00 for the security door at the place of business.for a total of $135.00I believe that United Locksmith completely took advantage of my mother. She was scared that the thieves would come back.Lenny, the owner did the work, he's just another thieve that takes advantage of older ladies, and isn't man enough to admit it.Desired Settlement: After His Verbal $230.00 Quote when I called him, he should stand by it and Refund my mother the $290.00 he overcharged her.
