Union Animal Hospital & Affordable Pet Dental Plus

I wanted my dog to have her teeth cleaned. I had to have a consultation appt prior to the teeth cleaning this morning. I dropped her off today at 8:00 am for her teeth cleaning.
They called and asked me if I wanted her teeth xrayed. I asked why would that be necessary. They said because she has loose teeth. I said I realized that chihuahuas in general are known to have their teeth removed. I said if they are loose and need to be removed that would be fine no need for xrays. They said they couldn’t do that without xrays. I said that was fine that if they saw in xrays that the teeth needed removed that would be fine. She never told me if I didnt answer my phone when they called that they would not remove her teeth and would wake her up out of anathesia. This would have taken her one extra second to tell me that it was important for me to answer my phone when they called me. I could have gotten off my other business call.
She did not tell me that I needed to approve the teeth removal a second time. Now I am forced to pay for another visit/anesthesia to have her teeth removed. This does not feel right to me.
First I already gave the permission this morning over the phone and secondly no one told me that if I didn’t answer my phone or call back within 5 mins that They would not remove her teeth. I asked her if that was their recommendation to remove the teeth. She said yes. I said “then why didnt you remove them when I already told you it was fine.”
This seems like an unethical practice to get me to pay twice. I want an owner to call me and resolve this matter.
