This concerns a sail repaired late summer 2019, with the bank activity in September and October, 2019.
Wife sent two checks, second one post-dated with a note. First, for $113.30 cleared, second for $100.00 bounced a few days later. Owner called, I said my wife would call him back, as she paid the bill. She called and paid the amount requested then, which was the original amount, plus $40 in bank charges on their end.
In looking into it, we found the first check had cleared, but the amount of $113.30 had not been subtracted from what we owed. Original amount was 213.30. Amount paid when wife called was $253.30, which is 213.30 plus 40 for bank charges.
We apologized then, and still do for putting in two checks with a note. This was not discussed with Ullman, because they had let me take the repaired sail, saying they didn't think I was a bum, it is a small business, very personable, and we figured that approach to this sort of transaction (small) would be ok.
I called to inform the owner of the situation. He asked that I send an email spelling out the details, which I did. Follow-up emails were promised action a couple of times, then were met with silence. Jan 4, 2020 I put a copy of the transactions in the mail to Ullman, with a note reiterating the sequence of events, and requesting reimbursement of $113.30. Again, silence.
It's handled and it has been resolved.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Revdex.com,Hi, and thanks for your efforts. The owner says it us resolved. As of now it is not, but maybe he just put the check in the mail. I'll give it a few days, ask my wife etc before formally saying that's wrong. Thanks again
