Ucar Station

On 8/1/2017, my son accepted delivery of a 2013 Nissan Sentra from Ucar Station, ***., Rosemead, CA 91770, ***. The salesperson was Karen ***. With less than 100 miles driven, the transmission failed. The repair cost will be $3,500 for a new transmission. I have spoken on the phone with the manager, Peter ***. I have more than 10 years in auto sales and management with reputable dealers. In my experience, even though the sale is 'as is', if something like this happens so soon after the sale, most reputable dealers would work with their customers to come to a reasonable solution. I explained the situation and tried coming to terms. My efforts were in vain as he refused to help us in even a small way'not even a little. I was willing to share the cost or have it repaired at a discounted rate. I spoke to him at length about taking care of customers and building the reputation of his business and protecting against negative publicity that would cause harm, but he informed me that this situation happens often with his customers and that taking care of them and protecting the reputation of his business was not important to him. It is obvious that this dealer cares little about its customers or its reputation. My son is just starting out and this is his first automobile buying experience. This business took advantage of him and sold him a broken vehicle that will cost us almost half the selling price to fix. I believe that this business knew of the problems with the vehicle when it was sold, and this is his method of doing business. I would strongly advise potential buyers to do business elsewhere.
