To answer your question: My contractor went to Dixie Lumber and found "in stock, on the shelf" pine flooringHe placed the order at Dixie Lumber for my flooringDixie stated that they did not have enough in stock (on the shelf) to fill the order, and the remainder would be sent out as soon as they received a new shipmentThey said it would only be a few days for the rest to arriveAfter my contractor placed the order, Dixie Lumber called me and told me how many planks were going to be delivered and the price, they took my credit card info over the phone to process the order I NEVER RECEIVED ANY PAPERWORK, the wood was delivered in trips and my contractor put my floors inMy contractor states that he has never heard of a supply house not taking back unused "extra" materialsDixie never told me or my contractor that this was "non returnable", my contractor stated that if they had he would have been more exact with his measurementsI hope this answers your questions

C***, this is a case of a special order item return. I spoke at length with this gentlemen and explained to him the situation. I even contacted my vendor to try and have them reduce there “normal” restocking fee, which they politely did. I charged him the exact fee the vendor charged me to pick up the material We did the best we could to accommodate this customer.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, Please let us know below why you are rejecting the offer made by the business.]Their excuse is nonsense! My contractor ordered the flooring off of their shelf, they told him that they had most of it and they would send out the rest when the next shipment came inThey never told either of us it was special order, if they had we would have measured more carefullyI actually paid more for this because I tried to buy from a local small businessHome Depot and Lowe's would have saved me hundreds and would have processed my return with no hassleI just started renovating my home and they have made no effort in trying to keep their customer satisfied.
