The company contacted me today, threatened me and demanded money from me when the mortgage is not in my name and I'm not responsible for payments.
The mobile home bought by my son and his ex wife approximately 4 years ago at *** Mobile Homes Inc in *** Louisiana. The mobile home is community property between my son and his ex wife. I live in the mobile home with my husband and my son. The mortgage is under my son's ex wife's name although I have been making direct payments on my son's behalf for the last three years in the amount of $410 per month. On 2/25/2020, I was contacted by 21st Century Mortgage via telephone. I spoke to two representatives, one was a supervisor. Both representatives demanded payment from me, talked over me, insulted me, and used scare tactics in an effort to make me pay them money. I am not listed on the mortgage nor am I responsible for payments. I was told by both representatives that I had one week to leave the mobile home if I did not make a payment even though the representatives who I spoke with knew I am not the responsible party.
