Don't allow Tuxedo Junction to Ruin Your Special Day - Find a better place!
In May 2016, Our cousin arranged for our son to be fitted for a tux at Tuxedo Junction for her Renewal Vows Ceremony. The fitting appeared to go decently, but when we picked up the tux and brought it home on the day of the ceremony, it didn't fit correctly. It was huge! Our son was swallowed by an oversized coat, and pants three times bigger than he normally fits. We can't understand why it was so large despite the "personalized" fitting. There was no time for further alterations, so we were forced to just deal with it. In all of the ceremony photos, he is literally swimming in his tux.
When we returned the tux a couple weeks later, we were slapped with a $168.00 "late" fee. It would not be unreasonable to charge a small late fee if an item is borrowed longer than what this business considered feasible - but $168.00 in late fees? Not acceptable. I was recently fitted for a family member's wedding, and while doing so, I informed the employee that I prefer a certain fit and wear all of my suits in a very specific way (e.g., I like my pants shorter without a break in order to show my socks). The employee looked at me in disbelief and said, "I don't recommend that." I stated that I wear my suits that way every day, and wish to have the same fit with this particular tux. A few months down the road, I was informed that the employee will not honor my request, and instead, make sure the pants are longer. I will request a refund if my request, which was made kindly, is not honored.

Review: My son contracted with Tuxedo Junction for tuxedos for his wedding party. There was a series of service issues with the tuxedo rentals.1) Father of the groom (my husband) went for measurement. After leaving we noticed they had the Father of the bride's name on his rental receipt. After calling, we found out they had the same measurements for both fathers. We had to make another trip to the store for measurement.2) On the return trip to the store to get re-measured on August 1, we also had our grandson, who was the ring bearer, measured for his tuxedo. I placed a $ 40.00 deposit on the tuxedo with my check card. On yet another trip to the store on September 12 for the fitting, we found my grandsons jacket was way too big. Also, they forgot my husbands shoes. At this time, I paid an additional $ 43.10 for the rental for my grandson.3) On another trip to the store on September 13, we did collect the shoes but they only had pants and a jacket for my grandson. When they collected the jacket that was too big, they also took his shirt, vest and tie.4) On yet another trip to the store on September 14, the day of the wedding, they sent 6 different jackets home for my grandson so we could find one that fit. They also sent the other missing items. They also promised to refund me $ 83.10 for all the inconvenience, and said I would have a check within 2 weeks.That was 6 weeks ago. Now all I get is the run-around. They said they mailed the check but it had the wrong zip code. The post office should have still delivered it! Then I was told the check would be mailed within 2 days. Still no check. If they said they would issue a refund, I feel they should do so.Desired Settlement: Entire amount paid of $ 83.10
