I took my car to Turner Auto service to have the CV axle replaced. The next day I drove the car a block from my house and noticed my passenger side front wheel was jammed and my car was unable to be moved. Upon my observation of the car it appears that the lower ball joint that is attached to the control arm, separated from the wheel knuckle, ended up jammed in the front passenger wheel causing the wheel to be pushed outwards, causing separation of the CV axle. The CV axle that he installed was brand new and was ordered online on the site ***. I offered him to come too my property too access the damage himself but he wanted me financially tow the car too his site so he can look at the damage.. He also refused too pay the cost of the tow, and leave me with the chance if he didn’t agree that I would have to tow it back. He offered too give me the 328 dollars back and which I accepted but refused too pay the cost too replace the lower ball joint that was damage. Now, he refused to pay any amount based on he couldn’t observe the damage himself, even though I welcomed him to come to my property too access the damage.
Out of pocket cost I paid: 120.00 for labor, 97.00 for CV axle, 75.00 for toll back to property and 72.95 to replace damage lower control arm with ball/joint. Total is 364.95.
We do not have a customer by that name, sorry.
In addition, we don't provide warranties on parts that consumers buy themselves.
When a ball joint falls out of course the axle will fall out. We did not repair the ball joint on the vehicle we think this consumer is talking about.
Complaint: *** The lower ball joint slipped out of the wheel knuckle because it wasn’t secures tightly. Then it became jammed against the wheel. Causing the wheel to be pushed outwards with causing the cv axel shaft to separate at the connection closest too the transmission. The name on the appointment was M H but it was for Wr G the owner of vehicle.
I am rejecting this response because:
