A contract for a patio construction was written in 2017 which included tax on materials and labor, which the Department of Taxation later confirmed the company should not assess. Work beyond the original contract was completed in 2017, without any further written agreement or discussion of costs. The final billing included additional charges that were items either on the original contract or that were excessive costs for the additional work completed. The company has not responded to my written disagreement and extensive written justification for what I considered the appropriate additional costs should be and that they were not legally authorized to bill as sales tax. The justified amount by my arguments was paid by me in 2017. I heard nothing from the company for 15 months. Then in December, they began billing me, without any explanations or contact, for the amount that is at dispute ($2100.00).
Again, let me restate - that Spellacy's TL. LLC has no interest in the disputed amount. The previous owner retained all Accounts Receivable prior to 1/29/2018. Thus, the new owner has no standing in this situation. If Mr. received a statement from us it was in error. Thank you, Mark L

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find the resolution is satisfactory to me.

Turf-lawn sent me a bill for $95.68 for the services they did not provide. I made several attempts to reconcile the problem, but at no avail. They did not even bother to return my phone calls. I am not going to pay the balance and I don't want it to end up in the collections.
called my office to tell us, in no uncertain terms, that he was not going to pay our bill for the first two applications because "they were not done". My Office Manager told him she would have me call him. He said there is no need to call him, "I am not paying the bill". So rather than argue with the customer, I gladly issued him a credit and sent him a new bill reflecting this credit. A few days later he called back and yelled, yes, literally yelled at my office manager that I hadn't returned his call. She let him rant for just so long, then politely reminded him that he told her that it wasn't necessary that I call him back. Without another word, he hung up on her.
I'm not sure what else I can do.
