Tubmasters

Review: Tubmasters refinished our bathroom on June 18/19. The refinishing required taping around painted areas of the walls/trim. [redacted], an employee of Tubmasters arrived in the morning of the 19th, a Friday, to finish up the job. He explained that he would be removing tape and newspaper that covered the walls and other surfaces during refinishing. He also presented me with an invoice. I asked if I could mail in my payment since I had to leave for work. He said no he would like it now. Though I would've preferred to inspect the job prior to paying, I needed to leave and complied with his wishes. Upon returning home that evening, I found that the tape [redacted] had removed ripped paint from the walls and trim around our shower, closet, and window. I snapped some photos and emailed them to [redacted], the owner of Tubmasters, who had done the refinishing. He emailed back very quickly and apologized offering $100 in restitution. I agreed and he emailed back promising to have a check mailed on Monday June 22. No check was ever received. We emailed [redacted] several times over the next few weeks to remind him of the check, but received no response. Finally, on July 27 we emailed [redacted] to let him know I would be personally stopping by to pick up the check. Again, there was no response. Several days later, I went to Tubmasters to find no one around. I left a note reminding of the check promised along with copies of the email correspondence with [redacted] from June. To date, we have not heard from [redacted] or anyone else at Tubmasters regarding this matter.Desired Settlement: I would like Tubmasters to honor their agreement as per [redacted] email and refund the $100 we were promised as compensation for the damage to our paint.
