Review: This years service was prepaid in full. I have received only two treatments this season. No one has been here since April 29 2013. I have called and requested the third treatment three times with a promise someone would be here next day which was followed up by a phone call confirming the day. To date they have not appeared.Desired Settlement: Complete all applications in timely manner or full refund.

I spoke with Mr. [redacted] today and sent my tech out to treat the lawn with the regular app and the grub. I am not sure why I didn’t get a note on this back on 7/1/13, the notes were in the system but not sent to me. I did tell Mr. [redacted] that I would follow up on 7/22 to insure that he was satisfied with the treatment and if not I would retreat at no charge to get the weeds cleaned up for him. He was happy with the follow up also gave him my direct line if he needed to contact me in the future.
Thanks

Please be advised on Tuesday July 9 TruGreen did provide an application to our yard. Thank you for your attention to our complaint. [redacted]
Review: Spring of 2014 I called TRUGREEN about a mole problem in the yard. I was told that they would treat the moles and they might leave, but this is difficult and they could not promise it would work. Let's try it. They treated my lawn six times at the cost go $141 each trip. In Feb. 2015 I called and told them it was not working and discontinue service. Their response It just snowed, let us try once more. They sent a [redacted] man last week in talking to him I learned that they were not Killing grubs, but were applying weed killer and fertilizer. They apply mole stuff in the fall, but not to my yard. This was all news to me. They did leave customer service list of what they did, but I thought that was used to kill grubs that which feed the moleDesired Settlement: Since I have lawn service here, and I did not contract for fertilizer weed killer they should refund $846. And they did not service the moles in the fall.

Review: A Trugreen employee treated my lawn after I told him not to. I received a bill for the service of $99.00. I am not going to pay the bill.
The employee called on June 2, 2014 to say he would be treating our lawn the next day. I told him 3 times that I did not want nor needed any service from Trugreen as I had received poor service the year before. The next day a service person came and treated our lawn. I received a bill for $99.00. I do not intend to pay the bill and will see Trugreen in court befor doing so. I am telling all my friends of this encounter.Desired Settlement: A letter of apology and a cancelation of the bill would seem to be in order.

Regards,
Review: On 2/8/2012 I paid TruGreen for services to be carried out beginning approximately March 2013 through November 2013. The contract was for four lawn applications and one aeration. Lawn is to be sprayed approximately every five weeks. First application was to be 3/29/2013. No one showed. Called TruGreen on 4/3/2013 and was told application would be 4/8/2013. No one showed. Called 4/10/2013 and was told it would be "tomorrow" (4/11/2013)- no one showed. Called 4/16/2013 and told application was to be 4/18/2013. Lawn was treated 4/18/2013. Second application was to be in five weeks (approx May 24-27 2013). No application was scheduled. Called 6/14/2013 explaining that haven't had service in almost nine weeks. Told someone would be out "Monday or Tuesday" (6/17 or 6/18). No one showed. Called on 6/18/2013 and spoke to corporate customer service who was to call local branch and send someone out. No one showed. Called corporate on 6/19/2013 (today). Was transferred to a voicemail but rep didn't say whose voicemail. Left message. Also called local office (412.492.8300) and was told someone will be out today. Asked name of technician and wanted him to call me. Was told[redacted] was technician and he would call me today. Several times I asked to cancel the service and no one will refund my money. I have not received the services and have already pre-paid for the entire year.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my service cancelled and a refund for the remaining lawn treatments as well as the lawn aeration that was already paid for. Total payment was $355.00. My account has a current balance of $338.00 and that would be less one treatment if someone shows up today.
Business
Response:
I talked with Mrs. [redacted] on 6/19/13 at 10:40 am. I explained the new scheduling system to her, and apoligized for not showing up for scheduled appointments. I asked if she would like to continue with the service if I could have someone out today 6/19/13 to do her lawn. She said that was fine, but if they did not show today she would like her account cancelled and her remaining credit refunded back to her.
I gave her my direct number and asked her to call me if she has any other concerns.
Thank You
Review:
Trugreen aerated my yard (attachment) last October. In March, I noticed the yard especially bald areas/yard looked the same as before the aeration was done. I was charged $250.00 by Trugreen which they withdrew from my bank account the day after the aeration was done.
I began calling in March the local 540 area code number for Trugreen office in Salem Va. I was told that they would have someone to come out and assess. They would also put me on a schedule to redo the aeration. No one came; I waited two weeks and called again, this time talking to customer service in other locations. I asked to speak with someone in Salem V A and they said when no one is available in that location other locations pick up. I voiced my concern and asked when someone will come back out to my home. I was told by the person that they were inputting my concern and request in the computer and someone should contact me within 48 hours. Another week went by and I called again, same response and routine. This went on for nearly three months. In July, I requested the manager for the Salem location and was told ([redacted], I was told) they would send him an email immediately to contact me. Again, no contact to me was made on their part. The last time I called was August 2013 and was told they will make certain the manager contacts me and here it is October. Due to so much frustration I have not contacted Trugreen nor have they contacted me since August 2013.
As a senior citizen I feel duped by Trugreen with no respect, or regard for me as a customer. I have always paid for any lawn work done by them and to be totally ignored says a lot about the character and reputation of a company who advertises customer satisfaction.
Desired Settlement: Given my numerous contacts to resolve/ask that they redo my lawn and was promised by customer service representative it was on the list to return and they never did-I want my $250.00 back-highly frustrated by lack of response.

Response:
Mrs. [redacted] I apologize for the communication issues that occured as well as the results of the original service not meeting your expectations. I do not remember receiving an email asking me to contact you directly. Typically in sitiuations in which I receive an email to contact a custome I respond the same day or the next at the latest. There were notes sent to the branch however and you are correct in saying that we did not handle the issues in the manor that we should have. I will agree to refund the cost of the aeration and seeding back to you and will start that process today. Again I apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate the feedback so we may serve our customers better in the future. [redacted]

Review: I have used Trugreen for two yrs but this pass yr 2015 I did not resign the contract..I explain this to trugreen several times and so did my wife to a tech at my door..we told Trugreen that we would not use them this yr. Even with this being said they keep send me bills and phone calls ( what are the bills for?). They tell me it is for service done..I then tell them that I did not want their service because I did not sign the contract. The letters and calls keep coming...if in fact they did come on my property without my permission then I will contact the police and my attorney to start a Trespassing complain.Desired Settlement: stop the bills...stop the calls ...stop the collections and stay off my property

TruGreen will notify the third party collection company to cease all collection activity. Please allow 4 to 6 for all mailed notices to cease due to the collection company pre-prints its mail.
Review: I prepaid for a year of service and cancelled. I specifically instructed TruGreen not to renew my service unless I requested that. During that time, I was very unhappy with their service. Two of my mature hydrangea bushes died after they applied deep-root fertilization. A third hydrangea bush developed some type of mold or fungus which was never properly addressed even after multiple complaints. I discontinued the service over the phone, but TruGreen took it upon themselves to show up at my house and provide unauthorized service and then tried to bill me for it multiple times. Although I have called and cancelled TruGreen over the phone MULTIPLE TIMES, they continue providing their services! Every time I call, they acknowledge the mistake, and yet I continue to receive unauthorized service and bills! On 7/10/15, I found ANOTHER service notice hanging on my door, saying they had provided unauthorized tree and shrub service. I called TruGreen again to inform them of the mistake, and I was told by a gentleman named [redacted] that I would not be billed (confirmation # [redacted]) and yet, I have received two bills (on 7/25/15 and 8/18/15) for $45.20 for tree and shrub service! Before posting this notice with the Revdex.com, I called TruGreen on 8/8/2015 to inform them of their repeated transgressions, unwanted service, and my intention to log a complaint. I spoke with a woman named [redacted] (Employee # [redacted]) and she claimed that [redacted] had not taken me off the customer list, and that is why I was billed again. She apologized and told me that I should disregard the latest bill, and that I would not receive service again, but since I was told that previously, I do not trust TruGreen to do as they say they will.Desired Settlement: I want TruGreen to stop sending their teams to service my property. I want them to stop sending me bills for services I do not want nor request, and I want this latest charge to be disregarded.

Review: We have been customers for 25 years on a 3 treatment service plan, but this year put on a 4 treatment plan without my approval. This year the crabgrass was out of control. I called to stop service. Service representative offered to order spot treatment at no charge. Service Technician never showed up to spot treat crabgrass. Called back and was told delay due to weather and told again technician would spot treat next week at no charge. Also offered 1/2 price on last treatment if I did not cancel service. The following week I received a bill for the spot treatment at my regular treatment rate. I called back to STOP SERVICE. I am still obligated to pay for a free spot treatment. Review: billed for services not rendered - I cancelled when serviceman showed up this year in spring I told the technician not to do the application. He left
In the spring of 2012 I signed a contract with Tru Green to treat my lawn - I did not think it was a lifetime contract - they did the treatment - a good job - when the serviceman appeared in the spring of this year my husband and I went to the door and I told him that we did not want any further services as we had hired a very good gardener and he could do the treatment. Since then I have been hounded by phone calls, bills, calls saying "your call is important to us please hold on for a technician" and I would wait for 10-15 minutes - no one would come on the line and I would hang up. This happened at least four times. I called the office and they told me the contract automatically rolled over and renewed and I MUST PAY. Now they have sent the bill to a collection agency This agency is TRANSWORLD SYSTEMS, Inc. out of Pennsylvania and - according to the printing on the statement is licensed by the Department of Consumer Affairs of the City of New York License #XXXXXXX.Desired Settlement: Request that they stop threatening me or I will contact my attorney and sue them for harrassment

I have not received in writing yet the the no charge aeration and overseeding that is to be done in the fall. Also, it is not accurate to say that I was very happy. Review: looking for refund that was promised to me for poor lawn treatment
I had a lawn treatment that was very poor. They called me to ask how the service was. I told them I was not happy with the service and wanted to close my account. They told me that since I was not pleased with the lawn application they would not charge me for the last application as a courtesy and would make sure that future lawn treatments would be handled better. a week later they charged my credit card that was on file. I have called numerous times since then to have the refund issued back to me and have this resolved and now they have merged their business with trugreen and they are refusing to refund me the charge as they can not find any notes on my account of any refund promised. I finally spoke to a supervisor at tru green who promised me a refund within 5 business days and when that did not happen and I called back, I was told by another supervisor that again there were no notes on my account and no refund would be honored. they told me to call noon. I called noon and noon told me that [redacted] brought thier book of business and their clients and that any refund would come from trugreen.Desired Settlement: I would like the refund of 47.86 that was promised to me issued back to me asap.

However, since they no longer have my credit card on file, and my account is closed, how will I receive the refund. When I called I kept being told my account shows it "credited" but as I reminded them, the credit to the account didn't refund the funds to my credit card as it was no longer on record.
Review: In September 2013, I called TruGreen and told them that I wanted to hire their services for my lawn. I told them that my lawn have patchy grass and I wanted it to be full and fluff. The representative pulled up my address via satellite and described my lawn to verify that the correct lawn was being viewed, I confirmed that the lawn was my home. I made it clear that I wanted a full lawn of grass and I was assured that the services that were going to be provided would meet my needs. Shortly thereafter, a Technician came to my home to aerate and seed my lawn, that was the only service provided for the year as winter was upon us. In April 2014, another Technician came to my home and sprayed my lawn, however, the patchiness in my lawn that I paid to fix was still there. I called the TruGreen office to voice my displeasure and I was told to wait and give my grass more time to grow. I told the representative when the seeding was done and that I should have seen the results by now but our conversation ended without any resolution. I called several times to complained about the services and was given the run around until finally one of the representative told me that the services provided by TruGreen does not grow grass but instead maintained the lawn that already have full grass. I asked to speak to the Manager and [redacted] came to the phone. I told him the entire story from the first day I called to us being on the phone and he told me that the aeration and seeding would not fix my lawn. He promised to take a drive out to my home to look at my lawn so that he can make an assessment of my lawn to determine how to treat it. We spoke again and he told me that he did saw my lawn and wanted to use the seed splitting technique on my lawn because he believed that would fix my lawn. At this time, it was the summer so he told me to call him back in September so we can make arrangements to have the procedure done. When I called him in September, he back tracked and told me that the seed splitting procedure was no longer provided by TruGreen and there was nothing he can do for me. I asked him how about my refund and he told me that the services that I requested was provided so there will be no refund. I responded that the services did not meet its guarantee and he keep responding that a service was provided so there will be no refund.Desired Settlement: I want my full refund of $294.92 from TruGreen.

I have called over a dozen if not more times, even leaving messages with the Service Master Corporate office to no avail. [redacted], the Rocky Hill manager assured me during our one phone conversation on October 10th that a full refund would be applied to my account for all services paid however I am still awaiting the last refund in the amount of $72.85 to be applied as I have paid for a total of 3 services totaling $72.85 each. Review: None of my scheduled appointments were ever kept, with no reason/explanation. It would some times take several weeks to get rescheduled and often those appts were not kept. I have only had two applications this year. They could not give me details of the 1st application. The second application was only fertilizer, no weed/grub control as I asked for. So there was no phone call before the 2nd application and we were away on vacation so we could not follow the instruction to water the grass. My lawn in covered in weeds and bare spots. Last fall they overseeded and aerated, which should have given my lawn a healthier appearance, but it looks worse than last year. The salesman that sold me that process said they would hit the lawn heavy w/ seed but I do not believe that was done to expectation. I have been asking to speak w/ a supervisor for weeks. I finally talked to one last week who would only refund my money for future services, he could not refund my full payment. I don't feel they fulfilled their duties/services. I now have to find another lawn service to help correct their inability.

Review: I signed a contract with trugreen for flea and tick control applications. A total of 5 spray applications were suppose to be applied. I only agreed to this because they offer a spray application that dries in 2-3 hours after application. my first application was done well, the second application was a "dry spread" which takes 24 hours to dissolve. I have pets that run in my fenced in yard. I called and complained and they assured me that a spray will only be used. The third visit I arrived the same time the tech did and was going to applied yet again a dry spread. I stopped him and told him I only get a spray application. He noted the mistake on his service sheet. I immediatly called trugreen customer service and complained again. the again assured me it will not happen again. On wednesday 09-09-15 I had a message that I was going to get an application on 09-10-15 , I called trugreen customer service to find what application I was scheduled for, I was told a "spray application" and that is was noted on my account that is what I am only to receive. Upon arriving home on thursday 09-10-15 I went on my usual poutine of letting the dog out in the yard and do there business including the rolling around on the grass while I retrieved the mail. I saw the work order from trugreen in my mailbox and to my surprise was a "dry spread" application applied. I was livid to see this after I was assured it would not happen. I do not want this company back at my house and I will be demanding a refund of some sort.Desired Settlement: refund

Upon review of the account, currently this account is cancelled. TruGreen completed 3 Tick Applications. The 1st one was done as a liquid application on June 24th. The 2nd was done on July 24th with pellets using a spreader. Customer called spoke to customer service and notes were put into mission that customer only wants spray. The 3rd application was done on September 9th with pellets using a spreader. Fred wrote in notes that he called Mr. [redacted] and left a voice mail stating that we went with Granular (Pellets) due to the fact it was going to rain.
Review: Around July of 2012, I contacted TruGreen to provide lawn care services, from the onset of the relationship there have been issues getting TruGreen to provide the services promised. My initial service call was no completed due the fact that the agent on the phone didn't properly communicate my desires as a customer. I specifically wanted someone to come out so that I could meet the company rep to make sure the services promised on the phone would be was I was getting. when I called back in I was told that my order was canceled and that I need to re signup for the service. [redacted] from the Danbury store, contacted me and informed me that he would be my account rep going forward and who remedy the issue. the sent a tech to my home to get the contract signed but would not provide any services that day. The services I was originally promised included a aeration service in the fall and that I would have to do seeding on my own or pay an additional $50. I opt to do the seeding on my own. I contacted the store to see when the aeration service would be perform and after no answer I contacted TruGreen again and was put in contact with [redacted] M around mid September of 2012. He informed me that he was the store manager and that he would have the service performed in October, additionally since there had been so many issues at this point that the aeration would still be at no cost. I want the services promised and honor the agreement. TruGreen should be ashamed for the poor services and even worst customer service. I would like the corporate office to be aware of the poor representatives they have in CT. I paid for the service I should be receiving it as promised.

I spoke with Mr. [redacted], offer the following resolution and it was acceptable to him.
We are going to credit the cost of his first service. We will perform a service call to retreat the weeds at no cost. This will be done tomorrow or Friday. Additionally, we will perform a core aeration and overseeding in the fall at no charge.
Review: I had a contract with TruGreen. I called them to cancel. They gave me a whole speech about why I should cancel and they would come out free in the next 30 days. I told them that I was concerned about the health of my kids. They promised that I could cancel at anytime and that I should be worried because I would be notified before they came back and could cancel before that time.
To my shock, a few days later they came and spayed all over my lawn. I only knew because I was playing outside with my kids and saw one of their signs after my kids were playing. I called to complain and they said they didn't do anything wrong and they would not refund me for the service charge that day!!
I spoke why Ashley in corporate. She told me that they would investigate this. She promised me a full refund and after investigation, that it was Trugreen's mistake. She also asked me how they could rectify it. I was told they would come back to me with a resolution. Ashley does not return my phone calls.
They have not refunded me and put my kids in harms way. I'm furious.Desired Settlement: Refund plus compensation for putting my kids in harms way

I am rejecting this response because:
I have contacted them multiple times and they have not responded to me nor have they told me who their lawyers are or a timeframe for when they will be getting back to me.

Response:
We regret the confusion over the scheduling of Mr. [redacted]’s service. However, the application was a fertilizer application, with only a minimal spot spray of a few lingering weeds. Mr. [redacted] has reported no adverse affects or symptoms regarding his children, and, of course, we would not expect any issues from the highly dilute products we use and the minimal amount sprayed in this instance. We have made a good faith offer to compensate Mr. [redacted] for his inconvenience, which he has declined. Although solicited for a demand, Mr. [redacted] has refused to tell us what he thinks is reasonable. If Mr. [redacted] wishes to make a reasonable demand, we will certainly review it with our legal staff and negotiate in good faith.
