Review: Om 2/15/13 I had my car detailed. There was a hole in the drivers side where the seat belt travels, it abraded the surface.
I mentioned this to them, it was caused by excess foam that made the side of the seat bulge
They fixed the hole but as I predicted the problem came back. This repair was done by an outside source, and you would think he would have seen this and remove some foam to make it flatter.
This problem has returned and I have been there twice to show to problem; was told both times someone would call me but no one has.
They also make a comment that they do not do upholstering, yet on their web side it shown that they do.Desired Settlement: Finish the job or give me my $95 dollars back for this repair and I will take it somewhere else.

My name is [redacted] and I am the owner of Truck and Auto Elegance.
You have [redacted] listed as the contact and owner - I
purchased the business from him a little over 4 years ago.
As for the matter involving ID#9671416, I am familiar with this. Here is our version of the complaint.
Yes we detailed the customers Ford Fusion, and we did have a 3rd party
repair where the seat was worn through due to his seatbelt. The reason
the repair failed was the same reason the seat wore out in the first
place. Either poor seat design, or operator error. I checked with the
upholstery repair person and they said they typically do not alter the
structure of the seat (foam) and only repair the cut or tear.
At the least I do owe the customer a call back, and will do so after
conferring with the upholstery repair person to see if there is anything
we can do. My feeling is that we won't be able to take any foam out of
his seat. While it may seem simplistic, there is much more involved
than just doing that. Also if were to alter the seat we would have to
verify that there are no air bags built in the seat.
As far as the customers claim that we do upholstery according to our web
site, that is not true. We never claim to do upholstery, but we do put
in leather interiors, which we purchase as a kit, and replace the
present seat covers.
In my opinion this customer has unrealistic expectations for what he
initially requested. We repaired the damaged portion of the seat for
the normal price. If the upholstery repair company decides we can
remove foam from the seat, there will be an addition cost occurred
because this was not part of the original quote.
I spoke with the upholstery repair company and our plan is to contact
the customer and set up a time for us to discuss with him what his
options are.
What else do you need from me?
Best regards,
