On Saturday May 2nd, while attempting to purchase a golf cart from this dealer, *** (Sales Manager) quoted us a price for the cart we wanted. I applied with *** to Yamaha financing and he said I was approved. He read me terms at 2.55% for 60 months at around $120 a month payment. I told him that we wanted those terms and to move forward with building our cart. He stated that we would need a deposit of $500 to begin and we gave him that via debit transaction. *** stated that we did not need to complete finance paperwork with Yamaha until delivery of the cart, as it was having to be built. Monday May 4 I get a call from Hunter "Finance Manager" who says his employee *** admitted that he had "made a mistake" and quoted us incorrect finance terms from Yamaha. Hunter quoted me 48 months at 9+% interest. These are very different terms. Hunter stated he understood if we did not want to go forward with the deal given their discrepancy. I agreed that we did not and Hunter advised that *** would be happy to give us a refund on the debit card we used. Upon arriving at the store to be refunded, *** and Hunter were present stating the company would have to cut us a check now and not put it back on our debit card as other retailers do everyday, and as Hunter had assured me just minutes before they would be doing when we arrived. This entire experience at best is unprofessional and at worse seems like fraudulent behavior. This dealer was quick to take our money with minimal effort given to the accuracy of more than a $7000 deal, but hesitant to return our deposit after acknowledging their mistake. I am worried that I will not see my $500 given all that has transpired.

Refund Make this behavior available to consumers and have TruCarts refund us the deposit we are owed.
Misunderstanding/mistake. Issue has been resolved and $500 deposit has been refunded to consumer via check. Dealer was not hesitant to refund the money, we have to follow proper protocol for refunds.
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
They did refund the money. I'm saddened that it took a formal complaint before they began caring about the refund.
