Just like the rest of the reviews here, my business was scammed. The called my business and found out which printer we use in our kitchen. Then they sent the ridiculously priced printer ribbon for $132.67 and have been sending me PAST DUE invoices since March 2020. Ive tried calling the 800 number countless times and no one picks up. Do not fall for their scam. Hang up the phone if anyone from Triton Imaging Systems calls you.
This company is a total scam. The same comments below happened to us. They call your business and get a managers name to sell you printer ribbon. Then they invoice you without sending the ribbon. The pricing is also outrageous!!! Dont answer the call and let everyone on your team know who they are!!!
Triton Imaging in California pulled this same scam 4 years ago at our business. They call and speak to whoever answers the phone, tells them the ribbon on the system is running low and needs to be replaced. Then they send out a new ribbon. We never have and never will order from them. Nor will I pay postage to return something I didn't order or pay the invoice. I asked them before to remove us from the calling list and I told them again today. What a scam!
The complainant has not filled in the Customer No., Invoice Number or any information that would allow us to find the account in our system. Please forward this info and we will respond immediately
Thank you,
Ted Winter

I am rejecting this response because: Inv. # ***. They had the business name "The Original Pancake House." If they wanted to find the invoice, they could have.

I have copied and pasted below, the original complaint. As you can see, and as I stated in my response, there was NO ORDER NUMBER OR ACCOUNT NUMBER SUPPLIED WITH THE COMPLAINT AND WE COULD NOT FIND THEM IN OUR SYSTEM. Further, the phone number provided is not in our system as either Now that the complainant has "Rejected" my response, they sent the invoice number.

In checking our files now that we have an invoice number, I see that this entire matter was resolved, and they owe us nothing, and we deny the bogus charges made as to how our rep communicated with their manager, and we also see that we have NEVER done business with them four years ago, or at any time. Perhaps they have us mixed up with another companyWe consider this matter closed.
Sincerely,

Glad this is resolved but I do not have them confused with someone else. They pulled the same stunt 4 years ago. They are a very shady business and should be stayed clear of.

This place called one of our store clerks and found out what printer we had. They sent us a bill for a cartridge we never asked for or received. I tried calling their 800# on the invoice and no one answers. We buy our cartridges from a local vendor and they charge us $24.99 per cartridge. This place sent us a bill for one cartridge and it was $132.67. This place is a scam!
The caller misrepresents who they are when calling. Caller does not ask to speak with purchasing, manager on duty, or anyone of authority. They pretend to be your "friendly" reminder not to run out of supplies - like they call all the time. They elude to the fact that they are with your POS company, even naming the POS Company, and calling to let you know it is time to order supplies. They know exactly what software your company uses, what supplies you need, and proceed to advise that they are shipping your supplies. They do not provide the name of their company or any information that would alert that they are not who they really are. This is a scam from a company who had rather be dishonest than do business in a respectable manner.
After reviewing this complaint, we find it difficult as to where to begin. The complainant states that "They know exactly what software your company uses" This is impossible. Further, our salespeople always identify the company they are calling from. The person who placed the order was called a second time from our shipping department a day or so later to go over:The merchandise that was ordered
The price
Shipping and billing address
Payment terms
The complainant also feels a refund is in order. They never paid their bill, so we do not see how this is also possible. Finally, after checking, we see that this was settled on 12/16/19 when they sent us a letter informing us they would not pay. To date we have not received our merchandise back

Hi,
This rejection, like the complaint, makes no sense. I really don't know where to begin. I tried to respond but cannot through the site. The complainant is making accusations that are just impossible for us to have committed. We cannot, in any way know what type of equipment they have, we DID make a follow up call to verify the sale, and she was asking for a refund when no payment was made. I just don't see how this person has a complaint. Better yet, I don't see how we could respond any further Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because:
I guess this is a "he said, she said" scenario. Our manager stated his version of the call and conversation and it seems unlikely that he would make up such a story. He would not agree to purchase from any company other than ***, who is our POS and supply provider. Had the caller identified as being with a company unfamiliar to our manager, the call would have ended.
When a caller indicates they are our "supplier" that is a false statement. Also, none of our managers would know the part number, etc. off the top of their head, to provide for an order. Had they been asked for that information that would have been a big clue that the caller was not from ***. They are correct - this really does not make any sense.
Why would a company call to see if you received order? Are they normally unreliable? Just another attempt to make the call and order appear legitimate.
Requesting a refund was not the correct wording. They are correct, we did not pay the invoice. No one recognized the company name, so put the invoice aside in an effort to figure out why we were being billed by someone unfamiliar. The invoice was eventually brought to my office, with a request that I assist in resolving the issue.
Void the invoice, issue credit, call it what you want, just stop requesting payment for an order that was based on deception.
Thank you
Sincerely
This company calls several times a month attempting to solicit sales from whomever will answer the phone including hourly employees. They ask questions regarding the operation of the POS to sound official but are in no way a vendor of the hotel. I have asked repeatedly that they no longer solicit business from this location and every time I do over the phone they immediately hang up. When they leave voicemails the call back number goes nowhere.
This matter was settled on 11/28/19. We have not made any calls since then. I can only assume there are other companies calling and are being confused with us. Also, as of late, there has been a company or companies using our name illegally to procure sales. We are the largest distributor of our kind in the nation, and this is not the first time this had happened.
We regret that sales calls are being made but can assure you that they are not coming from us.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because: The date listed that the matter was settled is in the future. The exact same solicitation calls as last year are still being made and if it was in fact a different company than it is still the same execution of a third party soliciting sales on their behalf. The multiple complaints of the exact same process lead me to believe it is bad business practice and if they are in fact the largest business of their side they should take action to end this themselves.
Sincerely
Complaint Background:
We stand by our statement on the settlement date. Please see the complaint timeline below
1. Purchase date and complaint 7/1/18 (16 Months ago)
2. Talked to Company 10/22/19 (Again, 15 Months AFTER original "Problem")
3. Talked to company (2nd) 10/15/19 (Now they've moved BACK in time by one week!)
4. Talked to company (3rd) 9/17/19 (Back yet AGAIN )
I think it's clear the complainant has problems with dates in general
We have not been making calls, the date this was settled is as I claim, Further, our salespeople never leave
messages for people and then give them a false number. What could possibly be the reason for this?
Again, the complainant would have to PROVE these calls that come in are indeed from us, and
I'm sure that's something they cannot do, because it's not us.
This is our stance on this erroneous complaint, and would suggest that if the complainant wishes to continue
with this harassment, they have their attorney contact us and he/she will be put in touch with our legal team
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because: I do apologize that the order is in reverse, the complaint form does not state the listed dates should be chronological. The repeated solicitations are not welcome and I will gladly await the next solicitation to get a proper mailing address to link to your business and pursue legal action appropriately. Please remove the Hilton UF Conference Center in Gainesville, FL from your call list

This is a total SCAM!!! The call and try to get whomever answers the phone to confirm an order for printer ribbons that was never placed. Then they try to invoice you with a ridiculous price for a product that you never ordered in the first place.
My customer service rep was James and he was amazing! He helped me figure out what ribbons I needed for my printer and got me a bulk savings deal. It's cheaper than I found them on Amazon! It's so hard to find a store capable of beating Amazon lol.
Company called staff members trying to give them "free ink ribbon cartridges". After several employees said no and passed the phone, one young man (20 years old) who was not a manager thinks he might have said OK. We haven't seen any ribbon cartridges nor do we want them but we then received a bill for $132.67. These sell for $2.99 in office depot. This was not ordered by management and if the young man did say yes, he was agreeing to something free, not a $132.67 invoice.
We have never told anyone our products were "Free" I'm wondering if we're being confused with another company. Our reps never call and talk to several people to procure an order. If they would like to return the product, we will take it back.
Sincerely,

This company will take advantage of an unsuspecting customer. They called my restaurant on a busy night looking for manager. After locating one they proceeded to try them into buying a ribbon for our receipt printer. My manager told that we were all set and that we did not need one. They got his name and proceeded to send us one anyway. After about 3 months they sent us an email requesting payment. They were charging us almost 5 times what we normally pay for this exact same item from our wholesaler plus shipping and insurance. They won't take your phone call so you have to leave a message. If it is a complaint then they won't return the call. They go by another name also called Arrow Laser. They have the exact same address so you know that they are connected. Stay away from this company. Do not give them any information like our name or they type of equipment that you are using. Just hang up. Period.
My experience is identical to another reviewer above. They called my business and spoke to an Associate who isn't authorized to make purchases for our business. They led her to believe they were a supplier of printer ink for us and she authorized a purchase for an item WE DON'T EVEN USE. She was confused and they preyed upon that. So they sent us a box of ribbon ink and an invoice. This is not the first time this has happened to our business with this company.
TRITON IMAGING SYSTEMS calls, tells you they want to provide ink for your printer. DOES NOT TELL YOU HOW MUCH IT COSTS, then SENDS YOU A BILL. I DID NOT agree to pay $132.67 for 2 ribbon strips!!!! THATS WAY TOOO HIGH. I WOULD NEVER AGREE TO PURCHASE THAT!!!! TAKE YOUR RIBBONS BACK AND TAKE YOUR BILL BACK. When you call them it goes straight to voicemail and they never call you back!!!! THIS PLACE IS A SCAM
This is the first we've seen of this complaint that was taken care of back in Sept of 2018. Also, the customer mentions "Two Ribbon Strips" The order sent was for a DOZEN ribbons. However, as mentioned, this had all been settled to the customer's satisfaction

These guys are SCAM ARTISTS!!!!
They call you under false pretenses and when you answer the phone they record you saying "yes" to a totally un related question and then send you products you don't want. If they call you and say they are from Triton Imaging, HANG UP or they will send you products you don't want.
Cant beat them. the prices triton imaging systems are great, prices are discounted very much compared to others.
Person from this company called and spoke with three to four different employees regarding printer ribbon. An invoice was sent even though we did not want or order this and never even received it. also we do not have an active account with this company for office supply. When we tried to call....the phone went right to a voicemail message. Left many messages for someone to call back. no one did.
In researching this complaint, our rep spoke to only one person who ordered the merchandise. Further, a "***" called and spoke to us, so we are perplexed as to the allegations that only an answering machine picks up. *** thought they did not receive the merchandise, and we supplied them with a *** Proof Of Delivery. The merchandise was found and subsequently sent back to us, and we credited their invoice
