I almost got lured into this business when a friend gave me their number After I didnt go thru with an application, they waited a few months and called me backI got a voice message from them not calling themselves "Trinian" but "I'm so and so from the Department of Student Loan Forgiveness" They proceeded to tell me that due to recent changes I qualify to have my loans drastically reduced, but I need to call by tomorrow or my file would be expungedRed Flag Googled them and found the Revdex.com alert...not going to fall for it

Review: I received a phone call and the person stated I met the criteria for student loan consolidation based on the William D. Ford Act with Health Care and Education Reconsiliation Act. The person continued to tell me that I also qualified for the IBR Program or student loan forgiveness. I would not have any monthly payments toward student loans. However, the person told me I had to pay $699.00 and when I told him I could not do that; the amount decreased to $599.00. I was told the $599.00 would go into a TransToPay account (was not given the account number) and that $599.00 would be refunded to me once the loan consolidation was complete. He only gave me three days to think it over and told me lots of people were wanting to get the IBR program and if I did not make a decision soon he could find another candidate. He also told me they pull the most recent income tax return from the IRS for the current applicant (candidate). Today, I got a letter from Department of Education about the loan consolidation and called them. They told me that they do NOT contact students by phone regarding current student loans or loan consolidation. The Department of Education also said there is no such thing as public forgiveness unless you had a federal, state, or government job (currently). I am still a student. The Department of Education also said that company failed to tell me I can consolidate my student loans for free and complete loan consolidation is not possible "for in school status". Again, I am currently, actively a full-time student. The Department of Education told me the person should have told me all these things, along with the fact that the Health Care Act has NOTHING to do with the Education Reconsiliation Act. The Department of Education had to stop my loan consolidation because of the loans being used for my current classes or "Loans Not to be Consolidated". The loan consolidation has to be restarted FREE at a later date. The Department of Education stated that what I was told was a lie just to get my money and to contact my credit card company ASAP, file a police report ASAP, file a complaint with Federal Trade Commission (FTC) ASAP, and file a complaint with the State Attorney General's Office with Consumer Affairs Division.Desired Settlement: Continued.... Other company name: Student Loans Department Service Division (877)[redacted]; Person contacted me: [redacted] (TFSC Group; "done for four years and helped tens of thousands of people. Pull tax return directly from IRS."). Phone: (949)[redacted].I want a full refund for the $599.00 plus any interest accrued & damages. These people need to be stopped; after four years and how much money has been fraudulently stolen from low income, disabled (I have epilepsy), and students.
