This is certainly not a safe place to live for adults and especially for families with children. I have had drug dealers move in near me in the park with the cars coming all night with the noise and head lights on to purchase drugs. I have complained to the park and they state that they and the Kankakee Sheriffs department are aware of the illegal activity. It has been 2 months since that complaint and neither Tri Star Estates nor the Sheriffs department have rid the park of this possibly dangerous situation. The illegal activity remains at ***.
We very much appreciate all of our residents who bring their concerns to our attention, and follow up with all crime related concerns with the Kankakee County Sheriff promptly. It is my understanding the that the questionable activity related to this post arose from an unregistered guest who was living with our approved resident. We have advised the resident that this guest is not permitted in the Community, and to the best of our knowledge, that resident hasn't returned and the questionable activity has correspondingly decreased. The Sheriff has been monitoring the home, even to the point, of collecting the trash put out by the residents. If there was evidence of criminal behavior, the Sheriff, not the Community Management, would be acting on it. To our knowledge, they have not yet done so.
It is important to recognize that our Community Management team is 100% in sync with our residents when it comes to concern for the safety of our community residents and guests. We have a 6 year history of working closely with Kankakee County Sheriff to address any crime related concerns as quickly as possible. We have and will continue to evict any resident who violates our "no crime" policy. We have tried to contact the X. residence this week to discuss Ms. X's concerns and update her on our efforts. We left a message which has not been returned as of 8/20/19. Again, we thank Ms. X for being part of the solution of keeping our community as safe as we can.
Thank you for your consideration.
