I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I dispute the fact that a gear is an electrical product. The garage motor was found to be working fine when the Tri-County workers came to inspect the opener. I also dispute the fact that the service men suggested that a new door opener would be a better option. They told me that because of the type of opener and the fact that the motor was working fine, it would be more cost effective to just put a new gear in. Being a single mother with 2 sons in college, I chose that option. I actually ended up paying [redacted] (who did an awesome job) the same amount Tri-County originally charged me to replace a gear that only lasted 3 weeks. I made sure my son was home during the installation of the new gear since I was not available. He said it took the guys between 1 - 1.5 hours. At $1.50 per minute for 2 men, the amount for service does not add up. That is besides the fact that the woman I spoke with on the phone when I called to complain about the bill, told me they charge $60 per person per hour.

Regarding the complaint from [redacted], we regret the misunderstanding with Mrs. [redacted] but we charge every customer with a service charge of $55.00, the cost of materials and labor charge for installing the product(s). We can’t warrant electrical products such as a gear that Mrs....
[redacted] got replaced and our service men explained that to her at the time of purchase and suggested that a new electric operator would be a better option but due to the cost she chose to replace the gear. Tri County does not charge $60 for each employee, it is $1.50 a minute for two men and majority of the service calls require two men to complete the job. Tri County tried to please Mrs. [redacted], she called and complained and we deducted $25.00 off her bill.Sincerely,Tri County Door Co.
