Dear Mr [redacted] -I am sincerely sorry that you felt slighted, mislead and mistreated by our car selling serviceWe work hard for transparency, and we clearly failed on this front with youI am so so sorryShould you need any assistance buying or selling a car down the road, I would be more than happy to personally help youRegarding the specifics of your complaint, I am hesitant to offer a rebuttal, because the last thing I want to do is engage in an adversarial relationship with one of our customersSo to be clear, I don't want thatHowever, to protect TRED in the eyes of the state (CC'ed), I would like to offer a few facts on this matter:Our FAQs clearly mention our buyer fee here --> https://help.tred.com/buying-a-car/does-tred-charge-buyers-any-extra-fees;Before any buyer can place any bid for a vehicle on our platform, we show them the 'out the door' total cost of a vehicle at their current bid, which includes tax, title, license and the buyer feeTherefore, before a TRED buyer confirms a single price-related engagement, they are well aware of our fee;Our buyer support team is trained to mention our buyer fee upfront; Our terms of service mention our buyer fee here --> https://www.tred.com/terms-of-use;FWIW, our sellers average 15% more than private sale value and 30% more than dealer trade in value, either of which more than make up for our $buyer fee.Again, I sincerely appreciate your feedback Mr [redacted] , I apologize for the hassle our platform caused you, and I genuinely offer my personal help, should you need car-related assistance down the road.Warmly,GrantCell: [redacted] Email: [redacted] @tred.com

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:They sent me a bill of sale unsigned by the lien holder, who need to release their ownership when paid in full, despite my many emailed written requests that it be signed, and indeed, the title was rejected as invalid because the holder of the loan had not signed the title releasing ownership when I went in to register the car, which I informed TREDThey have never rectified this as it turns out it was in their power to do, as they were in position to send a release of ownership letter In an attempt to try to get a clean title I contacted the California DOV, as that was where the previous owner had registered the carThe California DOV suggested I contact the lien holder, New Order Auto to obtain their release, assuming the original owner had paid them as TRED had assured me would occurWhen I tried to do so, I discovered that Grant Feek, the President of the loan company, New Order Auto, is also the CEO of the dealership, TRED, from whom I purchased the car, so the loan was paid in full, yet they failed to provide the signed loan release on the title despite repeated requestsWhen I then contacted them yet again, they demanded more money, although I had already paid in fullNow They have again impugned me, saying that I did not try to register the car, though I did and so informed them, in writingThe fact that they did not disclose that they held the loan for the car, and did not sign the release despite repeated requests prior to sending it raises further concerns
Sincerely,

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:You should not have to search through FAQs to find out important information like what the charges are for both parties in a transactionAlso, it should be immediately clear as to which party, if any, TRED is representingThe TRED service is a valuable service, but might not be appropriate for very low priced vehicles where the addition of $of transaction costs represents a large part of the total transaction
Sincerely,
