Rented a room for *** & *** and paid cash for entire amount.
Because of predicted bad weather, I elected to leave 1 day early and went to the front desk to check out and was informed that they would not refund my money because I had paid with cash. I had no warning of this policy either verbal or printed when I checked in.
The 3 other persons that I was traveling with also checked out and because they had each paid with a credit card were issued a refund.
Refund Refund in full. I have been Hunting and vacationing in *** for over *** years and only now find out that cash is no longer an accepted form of payment in wrong.
We have just received this notification in the mail. We unaware of the complaint. It is our policy that if guest pay with cash we do not do cash refunds. When the transaction is made we don't keep the money on hand to refund the guest. All guest that pay with cash as of January 1st of 2020, have been informed at check in, We do not do cash refunds when paying with cash. We can do credit cards because they are electronic. The only cash we keep set a side is cash deposits that go back to the guest. We do not keep cash on hand due to rise of crime in hotels and etc.

I was not informed of the no return policy on cash, as the Travelodge response claimed, as witnessed by the three other people traveling with me.
When informed of this policy upon checking out I inquired about credit for a future stay which was also denied. This would have satisfied me.

According to the last comments by Travel lodge on 4/14/20, I was to be issued a reimbursement check for $*** to settle this matter.
As of todays mail, 5/15/20, I still have not received payment.
I received the check from Travelodge. You may close this complaint.
