I recently stayed at the Travelodge in Fort Bragg. We reserved a king bedroom and were "upgraded" to the suite since the hot water heater went out. The suite was dirty and smelled like salty sewer water. The safe and vending machines didn't work as well. We asked for a different room but were told we could only get a room with a double bed, there was no offer to refund our money at all. We also submitted a complaint regarding the noise of the tenant upstairs which they did absolutely nothing about. Two days after we returned I saw an incidental charge of $100 on my card. The General Manager then proceeded to unfoundedly accuse me of stealing beach chairs, was rude and unprofessional calling me several names and hanging up on me. I in turn filled a complaint with *** who stated that I was required to wait 15 days for the General Manager to resolve the case. She then proceeded to offer me $50 off my stay due to the smell but never submitted the refund. Then Manager proceeded to lied about the interactions during my stay to *** and stated there was nothing more she could do. I reached out to *** after the 15 days informing them my issues weren't resolved. They agreed to offer me 3,000 in points which equates to less than $50 if used for travel and stated there is nothing more they can do.
