I was involved in a hit and run where the insured Travelers party J.[redacted]hit me and was allowed by his insurance to get off as a seasoned gentlemen. Noting we had conflicting stories. He was unable however to divulge to my carrier the pertinent who what when where's and hows. And it happened on 12th of November and Declined by the Rep T. Cr[redacted] on grounds that there were no independent witnesses. Though I called the police right when it happened, the man took off, didn't give any info, but I was able to get the license plate. And he wouldn't make contact with travelers until the police finally locate him. Then the "investigator" for traveler still was not able to make contact with him. I rate them as horrible and prejudice against those who do not have direct affiliation other than a claim against their insurers. They are bias and provided an artificial sense of investigation as there was no review of damages. I would advise anyone to make sure if you get into an accident with travelers person be cautious and don't trust that they will do what they can to ensure to be fair and reasonable. They are only for their insured. I never do reviews but this will be posted several times.
Review: On July 6th a stolen car damaged my property...retaining wall and fence. The claims adjuster said that I should pursue the vehicles insurance. So that took a couple weeks to figure out. The other vehicles insurance will not cover it so I was given bad advice by my adjuster. They are now willing to do a patch job on the retaining wall and the fence. These will not look uniform to what already exists on the property so it will cause my property value to go down. I have insurance from when I bought the house and I expect that I should be in the same uniform shape before this incident. Also, when I have had questions they have taken up to a week to return an email or phone call. They will only answer my questions by returning a phone call. Then when I get the itemized settlement it is completely different. They also will only contact one contractor of the two I sent estimates for. This seems unreasonable as I was able to prove that contractors opinion as false. They have worked with me minimally on the numbers but its not enough. They increase one amount and subtract another. Typical bait and switch. The last settlement I received has depreciation accounted for my retaining wall even though my policy clearly states that depreciation will not be applied. I feel that this company is not trustworthy and that their business practices are very questionable. I have been told one thing verbally and then the paperwork is completely differDesired Settlement: I would like for my home to be in the same shape it was in before this incident. I have spent several hours dealing with this and I have the proper coverage. My time is worth money too. I just wish that this company would do the right thing and replace my things.
