TravCar Rental

Review: I reserved a car rental at the specified location from 9/5/13 thru 9/10/13. Upon return of the automobile I signed a rental agreement authorizing TravCar to deduct from my bank card $199.54. However, TravCar charged $263.15 toward my card, 63.61 over authorized charges.

I've since contacted the business several times about the dispute ( phone and email) since they refuse to return my calls all correspondence has been via e-mail and they refuse to acknowledge their error.Desired Settlement: I would like the unauthorized over charged amount of $63.61 promptly credited to my bank account.

Review: On 5/1/13 I made a reservation online with TravCar for a 4-day compact car rental to be rented on 5/4/13. The rate quoted was 4 days @ $7.75 per day. I added the liability insurance which made the total rental come to $62.88 plus $36.00 for the insurance. I received a confirmation #[redacted] and $62.88 was charged to my business debit card. I arrived at Travcar on 5/4/13 to rent the vehicle and was told by [redacted] that $7.75 would not be the rate I would be receiving, instead it would be $29.75/day for 4 days because I was using a debit card which was considered a cash rental. He said, "they really do not do cash rentals but he decided to go ahead and rent the vehicle to me." On their website if does not say that the rate would quadruple when using a debit card. It was my son's 12th birthday and I did not want to spoil our celebration so I went ahead and rented the vehicle. However, I told [redacted] that this was a total rip-off and a dishonest business practice. TravCar Car Rental offered absolutely no customer service. Upon returning the vehicle on 5/6/13 I expressed my dissatisfaction with [redacted] and was told that [redacted] did me a favor which I thought was a ridiculous comment and poor representation of a company. TravCar Car Rental is void of customer service. I work for a very large corporation but I will never recommend them. I am completely dissatisfied with this company.Desired Settlement: I would like the rate quoted & confirmed to me on their website which was $7.75/day plus LDW for $9.00/day. The amount was $62.88 plus $36.00 for the insurance.
