Review: Transport Carrier Services were getting apportioned plates for my semi truck, and they have erased my base plate from the [redacted] system. Therefore, I was not able to get a refund.
I have used my base plate for 6 months only, so my refund should be close to $800.00. At the [redacted] office I was told that TCS has to recreate the plate back in the system, in order for me to get a refund. Also, the [redacted] officials have told me that this was a TCS's fault.
I have contacted TCS, and spoke to [redacted] who was very rude and unhelpful. She informed that she cannot recreate the plate back in the system, but she was able to erase it. She did not even try to correct this problem. At first, TCS denied their fault, however later on they accepted that it's their fault.
My Plate Number: [redacted]Desired Settlement: I want them to fix their mistake so I can get my refund.

Response:
I looked into this customer’s complaint. The progression was as follows:
On 8/27/13, our agent, [redacted], added his vehicle to the apportioned account of [redacted] as per Mr. [redacted]’s request and [redacted] at [redacted] Products. When this is done it automatically changes the record to show the vehicle is no longer base plated (runs in Arizona only) and is now apportioned (to run in other states in addition to Arizona). When it came time for the refund on his Arizona base plate, [redacted] contacted [redacted] and asked her to recreate the base plate so he could apply for a refund. As a 3rd party agent, we are not authorized to do that. When [redacted] tried to recreate it per [redacted]’s request, all fields were blank and she was not allowed to recreate this plate (we do not have the authority under our 3rd party contract to do this.) [redacted] contacted [redacted] and was informed by [redacted]’s Quality Assurance Department that they ([redacted]) would have to recreate the record for the customer and that once that was done, he could go into Service Arizona and request the refund. At this point, we had done all that we could and it was now between [redacted] and Mr. [redacted] to work together to get the refund issued. As [redacted] did not hear back from [redacted] or Mr. [redacted] on this issue, she assumed all was taken care of. There really is nothing else Transport Carrier Services can do to get this refund for him. It is [redacted] that owes him the money, not Transport Carrier Services.
We followed up with [redacted] on Mr. [redacted]’s complaint and found that [redacted] had resolved his problem and issued a refund on 10/17/13.
I hope this takes care of everything. If not, please let me know.
If you have any further questions, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Operations Manager
