Review: As of 07/27/2011 I,[redacted] purchased a transmission with lifetime warranty for my 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser from AAMCO Transmissions (Trans East L.p.[redacted]). My vechile was towed 03/07/2014 in to AAMCO Transmissions ([redacted]3), where it went in for a P1698 code causing the transmission not to shift pass 2nd gear. The tech told me that the vehicle need all the motor mounts replaced, which I showed where they had recently been replaced within in the last 2 mos. He then said he repaired a broken wire and replaced the fuse. 4 days later the vehicle did the same thing again, Code P1698 causing it to lock in 2nd gear again. re-towed on 03/14/14 at my expense again. Tech advised of a bad TCM (Transmission Control Module)and charged $50.00 for the diagnostic and said this part wasn't covered under the lifetime warranty. Purchased the TCM and calibration from [redacted] for $567.80 and drove the car for 4 more days and the same problem re-occurred P1698 code. Re-towed car to [redacted] Dealership and paid $99.95 for the diagnostics that said that transmission shift solenoids were drawing to much amperage causing the fuse to blow and dealership would correct this problem for $595.00, AAMCO said its covered. This particular part is covered under the lifetime warranty and was advised during the initial sale of the trans. and was said to be a very common problem. Vehicle was then re-towed 04/22/14 and advised to be re-towed to a different AAMCO rather than [redacted] ph.###-###-#### to AAMCO in FT.Worth,TX on Camp Bowie Rd. ph. ###-###-####. This AAMCO has been awaiting the permission or approval of the repairs since 04/22/14 from the AAMCO Trans L.p. [redacted] Ph. ###-###-####, where it is said this was the initial shop of the repairs and they must pay and approve of them but, still no response from the person in charge.Desired Settlement: I would like for AAMCO to be professional and stand behind there products and service. I purchased the rebuilt transmission and warranty from AAMCO in 07/27/11 for a total of $2871.66. My car have been down for over a couple of months and not to mention being out of a great deal of time and money. AAMCO needs to make this right and as soon as possible in a very professional way. They chose not to pay the dealership for these services and handle it as though the warranty states, but has failed.
