The problem is at multiple levels.
1. Failure to maintain my lawn healthy. Patches and bug infestation during the service
2. Incorrectly continue to bill after I terminated their service. I was told during signing for the service that there was no contract and here I'm continue to be billed eventhough there is no contractual obligations as well as no service to my lawn since the beginning of this year.
I have hired Trads couple of years back for the lawn service and during the that time they promised that the lawn will look better and healthy upon using their service. They assured me that there will be no patches and no bugs infestations and they use high quality pesticides that affect the bugs and not the lawn. After more than 2 years of service, the lawn was in worst condition then what it was when they started the service. I asked them multiple times and they gave excuses about not watering enough which I know it is NOT true because I have the sprinkler system adjusted according to their suggestion when the service person was at our house and I did it in front of him. Then they gave excuse about it was already there and we can't do anything about it and I'll have to replace the sod. Most of my neighbors have ran into similar problems and they can attest to as witness and they also cancelled Trads service after getting frustrated by the lack of service and accountability.
I recently had to hired to do the re-soding for my entire half of my front yard and it cost me more than $1,200 which I wouldn't have it Trads would have done their job correctly in the first place.
I cancelled their service in the beginning of this year, and they still continue to send me bills for the service that has not been done on my lawn. I'm frustrated by their lack of service, professionalism, accountability and on top of that the audacity to continue to bill me even when their service was already cancelled. I would appreciate if you help in closing this mater to a proper resolution
Thank you, we have made multiple attempts to contact Mr. to resolve this matter but have not had a response.
According to our records, Mr. cancelled his service 03/19/2020 and this was acknowledged with a letter and email. We have removed the charges for April through June as they should not have been charged. We have removed the charges for February and March as an act of good faith. The remaining balance due is for the months November, December and January, which were in arrears at the time of cancellation. We are willing to settle for this balance due, as it is not in question that Mr. had service during that time period.
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved]
Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
The cancellation was back in January, like I mentioned on my prior email, Trads don't have an accurate information on the cancellation. Even for the March date, they didn't agree to it first and they agreed after I shared the email from ***. So, them telling that original balance was $224 is NOT accurate at all to begin with. Honestly, they are covering up now for their mistake with all other distractions...I didn't mention anything on the backyard, it was just the front yard that I was referring to and Trads knows about it. Bottomline is the lawn was suppose to be healthier (in the frontyard only) after Trad took upon the contract and it failed to do so. Let's cut through the chase and fix the problem on hand. The compromise would be to take the balance off my account, that's the least they can do since they kept taking money from me from 3 years without any results and accountability. That would be a fair compromise.

Thank you. We are willing to write off the majority and only charge Mr. through the month Mr. says he cancelled the service (January) even though our records clearly show he cancelled in March. We feel we have offered a reasonable compromise, respectfully, a compromise mean both parties make concessions.
Mr. made renovations to his yard in order to place it on the market and to correct issues we do not treat. We are not an insurance company and do not and cannot guarantee there will be no lawn damage. We removed $160 and are only asking for payment through the month Mr. claims he cancelled.
I had Trads for quite a while (give or take 7+ years) and had no issues until last year when pretty much our whole lawn was dying. It started around summer time in one spot where you can tell the grass was dying and I can tell it was spreading pretty bad. I called couple of times to have someone come out to check it out but nobody did and not even a return phone call but my monthly bill was still coming. My next door neighbor who had Trads as well had the same issue and ended up re-sodding his yard. Finally I called again and a tech came out on November 2nd and told me that there's NOTHING he can do about my soil being "compacted" but clearly it was not cause there some small patches of grass from other spots where the dead spots hasn't spread yet. So I politely told him "thanks for coming out" and as soon I walk back to the house. I called the office and cancel my account that same day and the lady on the phone says that "I will cancel your account today". After a few months I got a bill from them saying that I owe them service fees for the month of December and January. So I called again and I was told that the account was still open and was never closed. So again I politely asked to cancel my account and cancel the bill. I was told by the lady on the phone that she will go ahead cancel it and send me a cancellation letter which I NEVER received. FAST FORWARD today I got a letter from a collection agency saying that I owe TRADS some money. So I called again and the lady told me that the amount on the letter is for the "services" I still owe them. Are you kidding me??? I'm going to need to re-sod my lawn which probably going to cost me at least 4 pallets of sods because you didn't take care of my grass and now I still owe you money...
Thank you. We have met with and spoken to this consumer and believe this has been resolved.
I have employed Trad's Pest Control for two years to maintain the health of my lawn. During that time my lawn's health dropped dramatically. When I complained to Trad's they sent a representative to address my concerns. On three separate occasions I was told that my lawn was not receiving the care that it needed and corrective action would be taken.
The third time a manager, ***, discussed the problem and said he would arrange for a complete service to include everything needed to get my lawn back to a healthy condition. No one ever showed up.
In addition, my side yard was not St. Augustine. Initially there was Argentine Bahia. During the first year the lawn was completely killed. When I asked about this the tech told me he didn't know it was a different grass and the fertilizer he applied was the cause of my grass dying. I then reseeded the side yard with Zoysia. It grew in nicely and I told the tech, ***, about the different grass. Later that year the grass was again killed by Trad's treatment. I spoke with the tech and he told me *** was no longer with the company and he didn't tell anyone about the different grass.
I've complained to Trad's in writing and by phone. I have not received any solution from them other than to propose I pay them more money.
Thank you for the letter. Please know we also received this letter on Monday, 1/28/19 and the Lawn Supervisor visited the lawn, knocked on the door and left his card the next day, 1/29/19. A voice message was also left on 1/30/19.
*** started service with Trads in March 2017 and attached are pictures of his lawn when he started.
Lawn Managers have meet with *** several times on the lawn: October 2017, March 2019, May 2018. Each time *** questioned damage, products and weeds. As you can tell from the pictures, the lawn was not in good condition at the start and there were a lot of weeds.
The condition of the lawn posed three challenges for us: first the lawn was not in good condition at the start; second, there were areas that contained more weeds than turf grass; third, there were mixed turf types. It is difficult to control weeds in lawns with mixed grass types because we cannot broadcast post emergent weed control with the same products. When we spot treat with post emergent to control for weeds, and there is not enough turf to fill in, bare spots are the result. If these areas are not renovated, other weeds quickly fill in because weeds grow faster than grass. We do make use of pre-emergent weed control, and these products are very effective, but they take time to work and if there are more weeds than turf grass, bare spots result.
The last time a manager met with *** in May 2018, a manager met with *** and agreed to give *** a credit to continue service and *** agreed to renovate part of his yard. The credit was added to his account and we continued service as promised.
We would like to work with ***n, but Trad’s paying for the renovation of his lawn is not justified given the condition of his lawn when he started. We have contacted ***n and asked to meet with him to discuss and are waiting for his response.
The Trad's Service Manager met ***n and we feel this has been resolved.

My wife and I are both deployed military in Afghanistan. We enlisted Trads in June 2017 while we were home on leave to eliminate the weeds in our lawn. We saw them come once in June and never saw them again. We came home from Afghanistan in Oct. 2017 to find our lawn even more over grown with weeds than in June when we hired Trads to kill the weeds. We called Trads mid Oct. and addressed the situation with them. They said they would send some one right out and asked us to give them a second chance. We agreed to give them a second chance. We were home on leave for a month and we never saw a Trads representative spray our lawn or leave a door knocker or yard sign. There is zero physical proof they have come to our home more than the once in June. What there is proof of is that we have more weeds than ever. We called Trads 15 days ago and canceled service. Instead of canceling service they debited our account again another $35. We again called Trads yesterday to cancel service and again got the run around from the same female CSR; except this time she couldn't make her story match her last story. She again refused to send an email confirmation that our service is canceled as we requested 15 days previous. We again explained to her we are deployed military and don't have access to our mail. She gave us an attitude that she could really care less about our situation. We are requesting a refund for the past five months Trads has debited our account and not provided the service they were contracted to do. We are willing to settle this in court if required.
We are very sad to learn that *** had a poor service experience dealing with Trad’s Pest Control. We take great pride in providing our customers with the best service possible.
We also understand that we sometimes make mistakes. When we do we go to great lengths to find and correct them.
We are researching our records and have reached out to *** to gather more information about their experience. We will move quickly to resolve their complaint in a manner agreeable to the ***.
Sincerely,
***
