Toyota did not repair scratches on side of car inside car problems and second key for car did not receive .
On May 2 I went to new Bern Toyota and sales person I worked with was *** . After signing the paperwork I noticed the scratches on the outside of the car and I was told by *** that he will get me the second key for the car I also was insured By the service manager that work would be done . I called on June 10. ***, I was told that he has no contact with the person yet also I did not have any type of schedule to bring the car in I also left a message with *** the service manager, please call me about the problems I'm having nobody return my phone call back.
If you can't do what you promised give me back my money. my Prius that I dropped off because the battery was no good .
left voicemail for customer to bring vehicle on Monday 15JUN to have scratches fixed. A second key has been ordered for customer. Salesperson did not inform dealership of any of these promises made.
Toyota of New Bern is by far the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered. I purchased a "Certified" Pre-Owned Lexus from Toyota of New Bern. The documents state that the car had never been in a wreck (which I still have a copy of). The airbag light kept coming on - after the first few weeks of me owning the vehicle. I took the car to Toyota numerous times and the car would come back with no airbag light. After a few days of driving it would come back on. Come to find out the car had been in such a bad wreck that all airbags were deployed. I figured this out later. I went to the dealership, provided them the documentation showing the car was wrecked prior to the purchase. I was told that they took off the light by unplugging the battery. That is why the light would come back on. After taking my car to *** they made it clear that anyone inspecting this car could tell it was wrecked. They showed me the damage under the vehicle. This car was unsafe and sold to me as a car that had never been wrecked. The manager, *** was beyond disrespectful to me. He acted like all they cared about was the bottom line and they were not at fault because CarFax didnt list it until after they sold it to me. Certified means you do a very detailed check. The problem is that the service department didnt catch it and then when brought to the attention of the dealership, the manager didnt care to right this wrong. He jerked me around for a few weeks and then told me that they didnt want to sell a wrecked car...BUT YOU SOLD ME WRECKED CAR. I told him they messed up and its the cost of doing business. Its not fair that I payed top dollar, but less than 15k miles and lost 25k in value because it was wrecked prior to Toyota selling it to me. The fact that they just reset the airbag light instead of truly resolving the issue is the most mind blowing part to me. They had the opportunity to make it right and instead treated me like I was trying to take them for a ride. My salesman said he was very sorry and he hopes they will make it right. That is the only positive thing I can say about them. One of the sales reps that works there is a good person. Other than that, I would tell everyone to stay as far away as possible. Shotty service department. Disrespectful customer service. All around bad dealership. I would give zero stars if I could.
CAR HAS SAME PROBLEM THAT DEALERSHIP SAID THEY REPAIRED THREE WEEKS PRIOR BUT NOW DEALERSHIP IS CHARGING TO FIX PROBLEM AGAIN.
IN AUGUST I HAD MY 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE IT WOULD NOT START. THE DEALERSHIP CHARGED ME $110 FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND SAID THAT I NEEDED AN IMMOBILIZER RESET. AFTER THIS WAS DONE THE DEALERSHIP CAME BACK AND SAID THE CAR WOULD NOT START SO THEY DID ANOTHER DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND SAID THAT I NEEDED A NEW GAS PUMP. I FOUND THIS HARD TO BELIEVE SINCE I HAD JUST OUT A NEW GAS PUMP IN THE CAR. HOWEVER, I CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER AND THEY SENT ME OUT A BRAND NEW PUMP. THE SERVICE ADVISOR *** SAID THEY WILL INSTALL THE NEW PUMP AT A LABOR COST OF OVER $300 PLUS TAX. I ASKED *** TO MAKE SURE I GOT BACK THE MALFUNCTIONED PUMP THAT WAS BEING REPLACED SO I COULD SEND IT BACK TO THE MANUFACTURER FOR REIMBURSEMENT. THE PUMP WAS NEVER RETURNED TO ME. I PICKED UP THE CAR AND CAR RAN FOR THREE WEEKS BEFORE SHUTTING OFF AGAIN. I TRIED EVERYTHING TO START TE CAR BACK. I EVEN BOUGHT A BRAND NEW BATTERY AND TRIED TO GET THE CAR JUMP STARTED. THE CAR SAT IN THE ***'S PARKING LOT IN HAVELOCK FOR CLOSE TO TWO WEEKS. DURING THIS TIME I CALLED TOYOTA AND EVEN VISITED THEM PERSONAL TO EXPLAIN THE SITUATION. EVERYTIME I WENT THERE THEY TOLD ME THAT I WOULD NEED TO PAY A FRESH $110 FOR THEM TO DO A DIAGNOSTIC TO SEE WHY THE CAR WAS DOING THE SAME THING THAT I HAD ONLY JUST PAID THEM TO FIX. IT WAS NOT UNTIL LAST WEEK WHEN MY MOTHER IN LAW *** CALLED AND SPOKE WITH THE MANAGER*** THAT HE AGREED TO DO A FREE DIAGNOSTIC TO SEE IF THE CAR IS MESSING UP AGAIN BECAUSE OF THE GAS PUMP. ***- A SERVICE AGENT, CALLED AND REPORTED THAT THE FREE DIAGNOSTIC SHOWED THAT THE GAS PUMP WAS FINE. SHE CONTINUED THAT IT WILL REQUIRE A NEW $110 DIAGNOSTIC TO LOOK ANY FURTHER. SHE ALSO COULD NOT ANSWER WHY THE FREE DIAGNOSTIC DID NOT SHOW WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS BUT THAT A DIAGNOSTIC THAT I WOULD BE CHARGED FOR WOULD. WITHOUT ANY OTHER OPTIONS I WENT AHEAD AND PAID FOR THE DIAGNOSTIC, ANOTHER $110 THAT WE WILL HAVE TO PAY. *** CALLED THIS MORNING AND SAID THAT BASED ON THE DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS, THE CAR NEEDED AN IMMOBILIZER RESET AND A NEW ECU INSTALLED. THIS SHE SAID WILL COST ME OVER $1,200 AFTER TAXES. SHE COULD NOT EXPLAIN WHY I HAD TO PAY FOR ANOTHER IMMOBILIZER RESET AFTER MY RECEIPTS FROM AUGUST CLEARLY SHOWED THAT I PAID FOR ONE ALREADY. I CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY I AM PAYING AGAIN, FOR A REPAIR THAT THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THAT THEY ALREADY DID! IN AUGUST THEY SAID IT WAS AN IMMOBILIZER PROBLEM- I PAID OVER $100 TO GET THAT PROBLEM FIXED. AND NOW TODAY THEY WANT ME TO PAY TO HAVE THE SAME IMMOBILIZER PROBLEM FIXED AGAIN! AFTER I ASKED HER HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE, SHE THEN ADDED THAT I NEEDED A NEW ECU. SHE COULDNT ANSWER WHY NONE OF THE DIAGNOSTIC THAT THEY DID IN AUGUST REVEALED A BAD ECU AND THE CAR IS LITERALLY DOING THE SAME THING NOW THAT IT WAS DOING THEN WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN FOR REPAIR? TOYOTA OF NEW BERN HAS BEEN A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. THEY DID NOT PROPERLY REPAIR MY CAR, THEY DID NOT RETURN MY "MALFUNCTIONED" FUEL PUMP THAT THEY CLAIM THEY REPLACED EITHER. *** CHARGED ME FOR THAT FUEL PUMP OVER $100, BECAUSE I FAILED TO SEND IT BACK TO THEM FOR TEST. BECAUSE OF TOYOTA'S INCOMPETENCE I WAS CHARGED $100 FOR A BAD GAS PUMP THEY NEVER RETURNED, OVER $300 FOR A REPAIR JOB THAT WAS A BUST SINCE THA CAR IS DOING THE SAME THING AND $110 FOR A DIAGNOSTIC THAT "REVEALED" ISSUES THEY MISSED FROM THE FIRST REPAIR IE ECU. THEY ARE INSINUATING THAT I TOOK THE CAR TO ANOTHER MECHANIC BUT I SWEAR ON THE LIVES OF MY CHILDREN TOYOTA IS THE ONLY PEOPLE TO TOUCH THAT CAR, ESPECIALLY SINCE THE REPAIRS I PAID FOR IN AUGUST. THIS PLACE IS HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNETHICAL IN THEIR BUSINESS PRACTICES. PLEASE LET THE PUBLIC KNOW TO VENTURE AT THEIR OWN RISK.
AT THIS POINT I HAVE NO CONFIDENCE NOR TRUST IN TOYOTA OF NEW BERN AND I AM REQUESTING FULL REFUND FOR MY CHARGES IN AUGUST. THE REPAIR WAS NEVER DONE BECAUSE THE CAR IS DOING THE EXACT SAME THING. I ALSO WANT TO BE REIMBURSED FOR THE GAS PUMP THAT WAS NEVER RETURNED TO ME.
Customer had taken their vehicle to another repair shop to attempt the repairs, then the vehicle was towed to Toyota of New Bern. We diagnosed and found that the fuel pump was non-responsive. Customer supplied new fuel pump and we replaced the fuel pump and placed the one taken off on the passenger floor of the car. After 1 month the customer called back looking the old part which we explained to her it was left in the car at the time of replacement. Shortly after the vehicle had starting issues again. After we checked the vehicle we discovered the fuel pump was not the problem and that there was a new problem which we diagnosed and found that the vehicle needed a new immobilizer ECU. An estimate was give to the customer which was not opted to do at the time. I am attaching both repair order copies.
