To whom it may concern,
I brought my puppy *** here to Total Vetinary Care in Cicero, after having multiple friends use them and recommend the monthly payment arrangement. We live in *** and it is about a 22 minute drive. We clearly have closer vet offices to us that we could have used, But we were very pleased that they offered monthly terms. We signed up for the monthly plan on the first visit (or so we thought). They never had us actually “sign” anything though and we left our credit card on file for monthly billing and verbally agreed to being billed on monthly terms. It is around $39 a month which included most shots and office visits was my understanding. It can be automatically withdrawn from our account as well which was ideal.
Because we didn’t “sign” anything, Now they won’t honor the original monthly plan in which we thought we were on. They charged us full price for all work completed of the 2 visits, totaling to over $300 To our card which was on file. This was all a clerical error on their end.
Their solution was that we can still do the monthly billing, but they will not credit any amount already paid. I should not have to pay for their clerical mistake, just because they don’t have a “note” in our file that we for sure wanted the monthly paying option. We really enjoyed the care that was shown to our pet while there, but the fact that they will not work with us on a clerical error on THEIR end is poor customer service. I would appreciate a fair solution to this which was not offered to me when I contacted them directly on the phone.
We have reviewed this case and have contacted our client. We have agreed to credit the amount that they have paid already to a new wellness plan. We have offered to give them the wellness plan for the amount of money that they have already paid. The remaining $319.32 for the wellness plan will be given to the client at no charge. Essentially, they are getting the wellness plan that normally costs $659.40 for the $340.08 that they have already paid. We did this as an apology for the miscommunication that occurred. Our client has graciously accepted this offer and is pleased with the agreement. They will continue to use our veterinary services in the future. We thank the Revdex.com for bringing this issue to our attention. Tim F DVM Chief Medical Officer TVC
